Would be good today to get a win as don't want to see us go the whole season without a result at the top six.

Dreading this game. They absolutely humiliated us at Anfield last year, really hope Poch has learnt from that or it could be more of the same. Having said that we were excellent against them earlier in the season, and i thought Weds was our best perfomance of the season so hopefully we can pull something out the bag!

May be just unfounded optimism but got a funny feeling about today. Think we’re due a result. Have to score first.

It would be nice for Liverpool to lose a game and us to win a game and go above them so how much better for it to be the same game and at their place and how much worse for them.
I am absolutely convinced that the pressure on Liverpool is enormous compared to that on us so make that count and they'll crack.

Don’t know why everybody seems so terrified. They are a top team, but we have finished above them consistently for ages now, and if we win today, that’s exactly where we will be. They are the ones who should be worried.

No one is terrified. Some people are realistic of our chances considering our run of results at Anfield. LDLLLD

A great deal of the result today will have absolutely nothing to do with how we set up, how we play, whether our front men shoot straight or our defenders tackle well. It will depend on how Liverpool play. This is always so to a degree, but especially today, because Liverpool are erratic: they are unbeatable on their day and flimsy as paper on other days. It isn't all about us.

These are two high-powered teams having a go at each other. It's possible that we will play very well and still lose. It's equally possible that Liverpool will score stunning goals and we will win. The only thing that looks very unlikely is a goalless draw!

But it isn't all about whether our players play well or make individual errors, nor is it all about whom Pochettino selects and how he sets up the formation. It's also about Liverpool.

If our game plan and mentality is right today like Wednesday night then we are more than capable of getting a result here we are good enough.

Yes we are more than capable, just as Liverpool are more than capable of beating us soundly. Liverpool at Anfield is a completely different game than United at Wembley.

A draw would be a top result and set us up well for the rest of the season. However, we always play so poorly away at the top teams, regardless of what form we're in.
Wednesday's performance proves we have what it takes to win at Anfield. But my feeling is we will freeze as usual and let them boss the game. Hope I'm wrong!

Yeah of course the big sides are all capable of beating each other on any given day.

For me a realistic stance is we’ve finished above them 7/8 seasons. We destroyed them at Wembley. You could only really make a case that one of their players walks straight into our team(1 or2 more debatable). People are talking like we are going to play Bayern Munich or PSG. This is Liverpool who just lost at home to WBA and have one of the worst backlines in the league.
