They seem to have justified it on the basis that Redknapp and Souness were at Spurs for a season or two, at either end of their careers, and that it's broadly the same as the combined 30 odd seasons at Anfield they and Carragher must have had between them.
And in no way does Jamie hold a grudge against Levy for sacking his dad. No way at all.

We can win the game - I think we have a much much better GK, defence and midfield - the front three is the only area they compete with us and I think Salah is a fantastic player and Firmino and Mane are very good players too. We need to sit deep and not leave space in behind as Salah and Mane can exploit this - press their midfield when they enter our half and then break forward in numbers.

We did not do this last year which is why we lost so badly.

Can, Milner, Henderson, Wijnaldum and Chamberlain are very average players and we all know about their CBs and FBs we need to nullify their pace in behind and get their centre backs nice and far apart where their individual weaknesses can be exploited.

Last year in the first 20 minutes or so we didn't know what hit us, but if West Brom can go there and win, we can too.

And Ben Davies didn’t do himself any favours last year, dumbstruck throughout the game.

Big game today. 12.30am kick off here in Manila. Apologies if I'm a bit pissed during the match thread later!

I really fancy our chances today. It will be auch a huge result if we win. Up to 3rd, ahead of Chelsea and Liverpool. 6 points ahead of Arsenal before next week's game.

I am not contemplating a defeat!

Last season we went to theirs and tried playing our usual game and got found out. We went to Citeh, played our usual open game, and got found out.

Going to Anfield I'm afraid we need to learn and play the deep, tough, counter attack game that frustrates teams like us and Liverpool. We go and play open and attacking we'll likely get mullered. Play it safe and tough, and look for the break, and their defence means we'll mug them.

Today is a day for the 3 at the back system.

Let's hope the ref is actually fair today. Marriner was so bad against United that I almost started believing in deliberate bias.

We have to impose ourselves or we'll see a repeat of last season at their place. We have had some incredible results against big sides this season, and now is an opportunity to string two of those together. It won't mean we're crap if we don't manage it, but it would be a real statement if we do.

Moss normally favours the home team much less than most refs. On paper anyway we could have a lot worse.

Please don't concede early, could be a long afternoon if we do.

Make no mistake though, a draw would be a great result this afternoon, keeps them well within reach.

If a team is widely accepted to have better individuals but are losing to lesser individuals then you have ask why. It’s not Just oh they sang YNWA really loud what do you expect. If individual players quality isn’t important what’s the point in spending £50m on players. May as well just dip into the league 1 for our targets. My point is you can’t just dismiss these bad performances as oh all it’s Anfield what do you expect. The players will be no less fit than Wednesday. So therefore if it is another tame performance there has to be an underlying reason. Which can only be mentality/attitude or tactics. Anyways hopefully this will be irrelevant and we paste them 0-4 :D

Part if the issue is that, in many cases, the home team plays better ir different than on the road. Part of the equation is the other team's performance.

I dont see why we wouldn't play the same strategy as the home game tbh
For me it's because I don't think Klopp will make the same mistake twice. He went physical and planned to sit and counter but they don't have great defensive mids which let us target Lovren easily. I suspect today he'll go high intensity press with speed like they did vs. City.

Doesn't that play into a counter-attacking strategy though?
