What a fucking game!!

We were beaten in the first half before the first whistle. Psychologically. Until this is addressed, winning a title or a major competition will just be a piped dream.

We have the players, who have the fitness, technical know how and support so there should be no excuses for today's 1st half performance.

Saying that we showed character to come back and get a point.

Dele is not doing himself and us any favours with his cheating

Verts my MOTM but kudos to Davies as well.

He's still young and got spooked by the early goal...which wasn't his fault tbh.

He needs to learn to remain composed in such situations and not let it rattle him.

Strange today, just couldn't judge anything correctly, could barely stay on his feet

I thought Dembele was the only one who played well first half.

Lloris 5 - Gave the ball away quite a few times, and no need to head it out for a throw which led to their second. For a keeper supposed to be good with his feet his kicking remains pretty poor.
Trippier - 7 - Battled away and ran up and down the flank. Lacked quality in his crossing.
Sanches - 5 - Rabbit. Headlights. Now Toby is fit again maybe he needs a rest.
Verts - 8 - Only defender who could defend.
Dier - 4 - Gifted them a goal. Played CM by impersonating a statue and passing backwards all the time. Better once moved to the back.
Dembele - 8.5 - Broke their press so many times only to be fouled. Only one up for it first half.
Son - 7 - Kept at it.
Dele - 7 - Wudl have been an 8 if not for that pathetic dive.
Eriksen - 8 - Ran the second half
Kane - 5 - Anonymous. Wasn't playing for the team first half. Missed the chance to win it. Looked leggy.

Subs:
Lamela - 7.5 - Added offensive threat
Wanyama - 8 for that strike alone

Poch - 4 - Has not learned from the previous games at Anfield. I do not want to see Lloris, Sanchez and Verts playing tippy tappy triangles at Anfield again!

Yeah Davies gets so much shit for not being the quickest but last two massive games for us and he has been great, really put it up them with a few hard challenges today too.

I'll give him MOTM.

Jan grew into the game but he and Sanchez plus Dembele and Dier looked really loose and sloppy first half, playing like they were under a whirlwind press when there was no/little press.

Sanchez and dier and Kane all had a shit game.

So sick of sanchez ALWAYS passes back to keeper- after our corner, and every spurs player in fromt of him, with plenty of options- pit us under pressire once again by his obsession with passing back.

Much better when he went off.

Better second half.
