Keep it light lads...

Gone from a light hearted piss take of that dickhead from AFTV to a race relations thread in the space of 2 posts.

Not even gonna get into the race/language arguement, it's inconsequential.

I bloody hate all this Youtube stuff. Putting on an act, self promotion, money making from the Club we love - and it doesn't represent many fans, but somehow they become the face of us, like AFTV. Personally think it's quite embarrassing. And it's quite obvious that many (not sure in this instance) are gifted tickets by the Club, meaning someone who has built up loyalty points misses out etc.

Apart from 'Away Days' - that was quality.

I'm sorry but what does him never going before have to do with his love for the club?

I'm from Tottenham and have a load of mates who support spurs but have never been because they can't afford tickets. How are they any less fans?

Good luck to the fella if he's found a way to make money and watch us play

They're not lesser fans, and I wish they had a chance to go to games like Arsenal away too. But this guy is saying stuff like his videos like "it doesn't matter, away in Australia on Channel 5, I support the team". There are fans who really have been to some obscure places and spent a lot of time and money to watch our second string fail in the Europa League, and some of them now can't get away tickets. I find it quite insulting that he terms himself a "Superfan" and acts as though he's more entitled than them just because he states his commitment and passion.

I've never seen him acting entitled, but to be fair I've only ever seen 2 of his videos. Thought he was pretty funny to be honest.

Wouldn't watch it every week tho.

I really don't understand what you mean by that bit in bold above?

This guy is not harming anybody or making the club look bad - if some people find it funny and interesting and support our club - Good.

If people don't like the vlogs don't watch them

As for twitter - some of the most abusive comments about him seem to come from some of the biggest bigots around who somehow feel superior and think they have some sort of monopoly on who should support and how the club is supported - criticising "tourists" being one example

I'm in my mid 50s and couldn't care less how he speaks - at least he is supporting the club - and actually quite a few people do speak like him

They find the slang annoying. That's it. I don't get why this is an issue? I don't want to start arguing this for other people but I haven't seen any malice towards this guy on here.

Why would someone watch something that they find annoying?

Jesus Christ some people take football too seriously and have a weird irrational hate of YouTube/anything slightly contemporary

He's just a guy who supports Tottenham and makes videos about it, probably exaggerating a bit for comedic effect, as all comedians do, and people feel this strongly that he's "using the club" and that it's "embarrassing"

I suppose it's the same for any of the spurs podcasts or bloggers? They're just using our club for themselves. Or any comedian? They are all putting on an act and embarrassing themselves.

If you don't like then don't watch. Very simple. I have even seen threats to assault him on social media from "spurs" fans.

I find the Scouse accent intensely irritating, especially the way the say the word 'offside'......there are several accents that just wind me up........ I also once punched my mum in the throat for speaking English in a heavy foreign accent. And when called the Sci-Fi channel the 'skiffy' channel she took a snake punch in the kidneys. That dropped her to her knees and she took a mandatory 8 count

He’s clearly putting on an act. I’d wager he’s not really like that in real life off camera.

He is funny but it gets pretty tiring pretty quickly.
Of course its an act, pretty much everyone in that profession is acting somewhat, they are producing content for entertainment. Acting, and exaggerating is essentially in their job description. Whether done in an OTT way or more subtly is a different question.

fair play if you dont like the youtube game, it's never something i really go out of my way to watch. But dont get it twisted, he and all the other spurs gameday bloggers aren't like the AFTV lot. They all are very posisitive lot, that like sharing their gameday expierences, that don't exploit our clubs low moments for gain. None of them are making a killing, either the better videos only get around 20 - 40k views, not enough to get youtube rich at all.
