Poch not blind to admit Sissoko needed time...

Quote when talking about Moura

He needs to adapt, he needs to know the Premier League, the new philosophy of the new team, and there are plenty of examples here at the club, with Sissoko, with Lamela, that they need time.

Another great performance, starting to prove all the haters wrong.

:D You said something similar after a previous bad performance and people gave you the benefit of the doubt. Now it’s obvious you’re trolling.

No matter how much anyone likes or hates Sissoko, if you think that was a great performance then it’s literally impossible to take any of your opinions on football seriously.

Having said that, I apologise if you’re being ironic. It’s difficlt to tell on here sometimes....

It's frankly astonishing how a premier league player can look so out of depth against league two opposition. Total lack of ball control and basic technique, starting to believe that we're witnessing something worse than even Zokora...

I'm not a hater, but think he needs upgrading asap. He has a lot of energy and always shows for the ball, but his touch and passing just isn't good enough to keep up with the players around him. Considering how many recent minutes a lot of tonight's team have under their belts, you'd think it was Sissokko that was just coming back from a lengthy injury, not that he has played in every game this season.

He’s crap don’t get me wrong. But the scapegoating of this guy is getting very tiresome.

It’s not scapegoating. He played in a match tonight against Newport and wasn’t very good again and people are commenting in his thread about it. Llorente is getting pelters too in another thread.

If you’re admitting he’s crap and people in this thread are (mainly) saying he’s crap, after another pretty crap performance, i’m not sure what the problem is. Do you want the thread closed?

We won 2-0 in a pretty decent all round performance. Scapegoating in general is picking on one player, often undeserved, when a team has lost even though it’s not that player’s fault.

Not having a go directly at you but this is not scapegoating.

He gets abuse every single game, mainly by people who seem to think he’s out there as some sort of creative dynamo. He’s there to do the donkey work. Really made me laugh the other day when someone was moaning that Poch insisted on picking him instead of Moura in the Liverpool squad.

The match thread tonight was full of comments deriding him, he wasn’t the only player to underperform. Like you said Llorente is getting stuck too, but nowhere near as much as Sissoko. Someone in the Foyth thread was suggesting we play him at right wing instead of a Sissoko... I mean that’s just ludicrous stuff, there’s no logic behind it, just an opportunity to bag Sissoko out. He’s clearly not our best player, but Spurs fans love a scapegoat. I wonder who it will be next.

He gets abuse on here almost every game because he rarely has a good game. You’ve admitted he’s crap so you obviously agree with this.

I’ve said it a thousand times on here but every single week, the most positive comment I hear about him is ‘he wasn’t the worst player on the pitch’. Whoop-de-fucking-do.

You think he’s crap. You’ve admitted it. Which means you think he generally plays crap. You think it, others type it on here. There is no difference. They typed it on here during the match thread because they thought he didn’t have a good game. Then they mention it on this thread because it’s his thread. Apart from the odd individual comment slating him as a person or not knowing the rules re the Moura comment, I honestly can’t see the issue. As I said, would you want this thread closed?

If you carry on like that, I reckon it’ll be Tucker!

No but in all seriousness, I agree that he’s been pretty good at the donkey work :sneaky:
