Have to box clever here - no end-to-end open contests here when it comes to facing Europes finest in what will be a tactical battle.

Interestingly, in the games such as Dortmund and Madrid it was Winks who shined so would Poch be brave enough to bring him back into the fold? I very much doubt it but then Eriksen was also deployed deeper and one of Alli or Son missing out. I'd personally deploy a back three to give that solid base however being at home, i'd bring Eriksen into the middle next to Wanyama who's much more an out and out defensive minded midfielder than Dembele who ultimately misses out.

Lloris

Alderweireld Sanchez Vertonghen

Aurier Wanyama Eriksen Rose

Alli Son

Kane
Whatever formation and personnel Poch chooses he's going to be disappointing some big names such is the strength in depth we currently have but have to give Juventus the respect they deserve.

Lloris
Aurier Sanchez Toby Jan Davies
Wanyama Dembele
Dele Eriksen
Kane
Vorm, Rose, Dier, Winks, Lamela, Lucas, Son

Think it'll be this. Son, Lamela and Lucas as impact subs and one of best benches I've ever seen us have.

wonder how much more Dembele can give? as much I would like to rest so he can have a proper recovery, this tie and the fa cup are our season imo and he's a must.

That’s 4 pairs of fresh legs. I think it might be a bit harsh on Son but he’s played a lot of football recently. I genuinely think Poch played him against Newport and Arse with the intention of leaving him out on Tuesday.

The thing I worry about most is Dembele being able to play again, monumental effort from him again today and I’d hate to see him either have a crap game against Juve due to tiredness or actually get an injury, we need him fit for the rest of the season.

I don't agree with those wanting Son for this first leg. I think it would be a bad play to start him.

Bring him off the bench 65-70'

Am thinking Toby must’ve had a setback, otherwise I cannot see how he wouldn’t have been on the bench today. If Jan or Sánchez had to go off then surely we would want even a non match fit Toby on rather than Dier going back there

We didn't need another centreback on the bench for this game, because Dier could have dropped in.

I really can't understand why we wouldn't start Son, our whole upturn in form coincides with him starting regularly for us.

His off the ball movement is better than anyone else's in the squad and it has enhanced our attacking potency no end.

Interested to know, would you change the personnel in that case?

If Juve are going to be more cautious i'd be tempted to go for Lamela over Son.

I'd probably start Son. Lamela works too. I certainly wouldn't go 3 at the back.

I only see bits and pieces of Juve in the CL the last year or so, are they still using Mandzukic as like a wide striker and look to get him mismatched against a fullback? If so I'd probably go three at the back with that in mind to give a bit more cover. It also allows us effectively four players in the centre of the park to hopefully gain superiority against a cm3.

My point was that imagine if Jan had to go off and then we would have had a CB paring of Sánchez And Dier. Surely we would rather Toby came on if he was fit enough to play 90 mins against Newport. I hope i’m wrong but have a feeling that he has had a setback otherwise he’d have been on the bench

Pretty sure, we are gonna run through this lot. If we can keep the average pace of the last three league games, and importantly over 50% possession, they will wilt by 50-55mins like they all have.

Have to say, I'm feeling much more positive about the recovery this season, think they are eating kelp!

Last night they allowed Fiorentina 61% possesion and 14 shots to 4.. and still ran out 0-2 winners, top of Serie A!
