Watched the match with an elderly man in a bar in Tenerife. He must have been well over 70. He was an Arsenal fan and shook my hand and said it should have been 4. He insisted on paying for my drink. A gentleman. They're not all dickheads.

TBF the elder fans off most clubs are genuine. They remember the days before football was not about money and they undertsand team rivalry, yes it is important to win but there are morr important thing in life in all honesty.
Most of the cretinous fans are kids who churn on about history and things they did not even witness themselves.
Most of the moronic bindippers were probably still swimming about in their old mans ball sack when all the success they chirp on about was actually happening.

I cannot think of another keeper in the league who would not have saved all those shots that were straight at him. Only save of any note was the one from Eriksen's free kick. Everything else was really down to poor finishing.

I've bumped into Wenger a couple.of times at St Pancras. He is a lovely man and extremely polite. Might not be a popular opinion but he is what he is. And a nonce. (Joke)
@diamond lights it wasn't unheard of for fans of spurs and arsenal to watch both teams in that gents generation. Was a different time altogether. My grandad used to tell me that some people had either or as a second team...!

You suggested in the Matuidi thread that we should defend and counterattack in this game.
The problem is that we are not capable of playing counterattacking football against a good team with Higuain and Mandzukic in the same lineup. We are too sluggish and predictable going forward with both of them together.
Costa is a good counterattacking player but he can’t carry our attack by himself. That’s why we need to bench Mandzukic for Bernardeschi.
Man I wish Dybi was fit.

My grandad among them. He favours Arsenal, he was a child in the 30s when they dominated so not surprising, but has been almost as many times to WHL and when my dad chose to support Spurs he happily went along. He speaks as highly of Spurs' double side and other Spurs greats as he does the Gooner greats of the ages.
As you say, a different time altogether.

So went out about 11 yesterday morning. Got to my local, there they are...Gooners and Spam fans, oh and a handful of pissed up Welsh contractors who are working on the new power station.
Yep, the footie fans know I'm Spurs to the core, always vocal in Spurs' defence. So the bullshit starts, we're gonna do you 4-1, Kane"s a diver blah, feckin blah.
Then the random Welshies start on the rugby. Fecks sake not even knocked the head of a pint.
Anyways, I just smiled, remimded the Gooners that a Spurs loss still sees us ahead of them, that they are shite and should stop getting fizzy knickers because they beat Everton.
The Welsh rugby fans I managed to remind that an England loss could be remedied by reminding them that "you twats will still be Welsh." (yeah I know, I'm great at building rapport)
Spam fans I told them how impressive their stadium will look for a Championship club.
Anyway, took on all the bets, won all the money, got ratarsed on their money.
Moral of the story...
