Wonderful performance from Dembele. Superlatives to describe how gracefully he glides and slaloms past oncoming traffic are fast running out.

Both he and Sanchez were absolute monsters in there. Yes, we should have won by more, but we all would have taken a 1-0 victory before the game. Lets carry on the momentum in Turin on Tuesday and yes, I would take a 1-0 win there as well.

Mate of mine who relocated to Oz eight years ago txt half way through the game asking why we were playing at Wembley....at the end of the game he couldn’t stop talking about Moose and said he’s the best midfielder he’s seen in years and asked how long he’s been with us....

So key to how we play. When he's fit and on form unplayable. Although as much as I detest the little shite Wilshere would be a perfect backup/replacement. Hasnt got anywhere near the the strength but has ability to suck in players and transition from the back to upfront. He had a good game today.

I absolutely love watching him play. Just pure class.
I often turn to my son and say things like: "Look at that, they had no idea which way he would turn. Look how quick he released that pass, what are people talking about, he's easily the best midfielder in the PL!"

Between Dembélé just making the football his bitch and Kane smashing 40 yard Hoddle-esq passes around I just find myself sitting there mumbling things like "pwarrr quality" Etc on my jack Jones at the top of Wembley. :ROFLMAO:

Great article ...spot on summary of our outstanding middle field dictator. Hope he's well rested for Tuesday, we'll need a repeat performance.

A nice article that. It’s good to see him get the credit he deserves. He’s been crucial for us over this tough run of games.

It's probably harder for Spurs fans than any other fans to appreciate how good a footballer Wilshere is. But maybe he's so obnoxious other fans get caught up in personality too.

He's not blessed with pace, strength, or stamina, but the way he weaves past players and plays passes into the stride of teammates is well worthy of praise. He's one of the best at accepting passes in tight situations. While the contrast with Xhaca and Elneny makes it all the more eye-catching, it is good stuff on its own merit.

There's a lot wrong with Arsenal, but a fit Wilshere is a good footballer and they'd be more of a mess without him.

It wasn’t only in the Arsenal game that Dembele bossed the midfield.

Pogba still hasn’t recovered

During those periods Wilshere versus Dembélé was a fine battle, even if at times the Arsenal man resembled an entirely different species altogether, a chipmunk wrestling with a grizzly bear.

He needs not to get injured, who would you rather Wiltshire or Winks?

Good question. I'll let my bias get the better of me and say Winks based on potential and a possible higher ceiling. But right now, Harry has some work to do to (a) get game time and (b) perform consistently at the level Wilshere is at.

He's 22 and Wilshere is 26. If he can reach the levels Wilshere often does, I'd be very happy with his contribution and he has a couple more years to push from being a squad player to a first teamer.

I can see a Lamela-Wilshere axis working really well. We should put in a bid! It'll be interesting if he's not given a contract and then has to decide what to do. I can see Levy putting in a bid to get back at them for the whole Judas episode. If it were to happen, AFTV would be a box-set!
