I can understand getting food/drinks for a sport like the NFL when the game takes 3-4 hours but for an event that takes two hours, I will never understand why people need to buy food. Eat before you go or eat after but to miss match time because you needed a snack is absurd.
As it takes me about 3 hours to drive down, often straight from work, I do feel the need to eat when I get there, but I would prefer to miss the food rather than miss the game. (And the burgers in Club Wembley are fucking lovely by the way)

After a very slow start at Wembley, we've actually become pretty formidable. The first 3 matches ended in defeat and two draws. But from the 11 following 11 games we've taken 29 points - an average of 2.6 points per match. To put that in perspective, Man City have the best home record this season of 2.9 points per match, followed by United and Arsenal with 2.5 points per match. Last year we averaged 2.8 points per match at home, followed by Chelsea of 2.7 per match and Arsenal of 2.4 per match. It's a great achievement given how many people forecast us struggling at home this season.

Part of me is gonna miss Wembley, I have great seats at a very reasonable price, i’m certain my seats won’t be anywhere near as good next season. It is also some sight when you see 80k spurs fans and the atmosphere has been good on the big games. I also love the fact that I can get home in 30 mins.

Bingo. I have managed to get to 7 matches this season with my son and see 7 wins. The journey from Northwood has been easy and I managed to get home in 35 minutes after the NLD.

The one season at Wembley has opened up access to lots of fans (and their kids) and overseas supporters who found it impossible to get tickets for the old WHL.

It’s not even the good seats. I’m stood next to a gangway in the lower tier behind the goal Kane scored in and people were still streaming in after the goal, a good 5 minutes into the second half, with their overpriced chicken and chips. What is the appeal of this fast food compared to a North London Derby!?! One bloke was headed down the stairs as the goal went in and the chips he had queued so long for went straight up in the air.
The biggest rip off is the fish and chips they sell there. Although perfectly nice, the piece of fish you get is the size of a chicken nugget.

Different areas and different bars I suppose, but we are in Club Wembley and I had time for a piss and a pint, and got back to my seat just before second half kicked off.

Yeah me too. Queue for a pint is normally only a minute or two

No part of me will, its hell to get to, hell to get home from, and it just doesn't feel like I'm watching Spurs there, even after 7 months.

Don’t get me wrong, I am still excited to go back to our own ground. As good as the atmosphere might be on the big games it is still a soulless bowl for the rest. It’s just that it has not been as bad as I feared.

Done Club Wembley at the weekend there, and found the whole experience much better than the other areas i was in. The standard of the layout and food and drinks on offer was much better.
Hopefully, the inside of our new stadium resembles something similar.

What's the situation with the Club Wembley seats then? Special entrance? Posh bar? Fancy toilets? Different food vendors? I assume it applies to all seats in that middle ring? Tempted to go once if its all good as normally up in the gods.

Have never been, but one advantage is that apparently you can get a beer for CL games, unlike the rest of the stadium. Which I find particularly annoying, as those midweek games after work is where I actually fancy a pint before the game as opposed to the lunchtime/afternoon games.

A half time pie is part of the tradition innit.

It’s growing on me, is Wembley. When it’s full and we’re playing well, it’s really good. When it’s two thirds full and we’re labouring, it’s a horrible soulless bowl!

Anyone travelling from the west, I would highly recommend parking at Gerrards Cross and training it to Wembley Stadium. I was back at my car 50 mins after the game finished having stayed right till the final whistle and hardly rushing thereafter.

Do you live a 30 minute walk away, or did you leave 10 minutes early?
I ended up aimlessly walking around LDO for an hour to let the crowd die down. I only live an hour away from Wembley Park (via 3 tubes and a mainline)
But with 80k present Wembley Park is over an hour from Block 546. If I leave early it's a few minutes.

I walked to Wembley Park station by going taking a side road from Olympic Way near the PowerLeague.

Spot on. I think it has re engaged many fans with actually going to games rather than just having a TV experience
