We're fitter and younger than these lot, press them high and don't give the likes of Pjanic and Marchisio time on the ball to pick passes.

Very confident, 1-2 Spurs.

Wow, those stats from the Old Lady...

But I think we will win

We love being underdogs in the CL.

CL is all about away goals, we can't be wasteful with chances like we were against Arsenal and Liverpool. They won't have some important players so we have a great chance but need to be careful in back 4 with their pressing (Mandzukic mainly) and their set pieces.

Hope Dele doesn't lose his temper, because I can see them targeting him.

You just know Chiellini will try every trick in the book to wind him up.

Sky Sports and Dennis Wise doing a hatchet job on us tv at the moment prior to tonight's game.

Bitter fucks.

'Dropped to 5th' Some narrative.

Painting everything black, they haven't got a fecking clue - and they ain't got tv rights either.

You'd think they would big up an English team in Europe ?

Call me deluded but I think we are a better side than them and that they will underestimate us. I think we will get a couple very early on and win 2-0.

For me this is just a free hit. Enjoy it and obviously hope we win but if we don't I won't take it too badly and then just focus on FA cup and getting top 4

SSN is now effectively a 24hr rolling advert for the competitions that they have the rights for, its very transparent now.
There's three minutes talking about the massive CL game tonight, but after the break they'll have 12 minutes talking about the fucking darts which they coincidentally have exclusive rights to.

I gave up on SSN years ago, I don't even watch it on Deadline Day anymore.

It's a joke their coverage now - take Saturday for instance where at the top of the hour it was extended coverage of Man City vs Leicester @ 5:30 and only after that they touched about the small affair of a lunchtime NLD.

Pathetic...

If Dennis Wise says we're doing something wrong then we must be doing everything right.

He's one of the few people in football who I'd have behind Tim Sherwood in the queue of who I'd want to be linked to my club.

Yeah I just watched that whilst cursing Wise. As soon as they went on to Kane needing to win trophies and that he might leave in the summer depending on circumstances I just rolled my eyes. The media are desperate for him to leave. No mention of having to adapt to Wembley either. I will say again, if we get top 4 whilst having to play at Wembley for the whole season I think that will be a great achievement.
Those 2 on SSN went on to emphasise how we've dropped off this season in comparison to the last few yet I bet they were the same ones who prior to the season stated how it will be hard for us due to having to play at Wembley.

Sorry to go a bit off topic!

As for tonight, so many people underestimating Juventus - and at home to boot!

These are no mugs and come to the CL crunch of knockout football - something we have very little experience in - we need to be tactically on point and view this as a tie we need to respect the opposition and try and navigate it without losing and hopefully nicking an away goal.

Not saying we should approach these ties with trepidation but a dose of pragmatism is needed if we are to be successful.

Guys let's not forget how experienced Juventus is. They won a lot, they have been in CL final twice in last three years. And last season this experience have beaten young and hungry Monaco team. I think that we are more versatile than last year's Monaco but still we have to be very focus in both legs cause they know how to punish. But if we play our best we can beat them.

It's just one of those games that I really struggle to envision as to how it will go. Partly because I haven't watched Juventus this season and because it's the Champions League and such. I guess I just hope we just make a good match out of it and give ourselves a good chance for the second leg.

Not saying we can’t get a result, but they’re a much better side than Madrid are at the moment

Yeah, this will be a real good test. Knock-out football against one of the most established teams in Europe who are in ominous form. It's what we've been striving towards the last few years and will be interesting to see how we go.

I am not going to the game admittedly, but I pray that our fans get some songs for Ryan Mason tonight.

I think a lot of the "we're going to smash 'em" chat is fairly tongue in cheek.

This is a European powerhouse who are in incredible form and playing at home where they are formidable. Anyone going in thinking we'll roll them over is fairly deluded.

But we have the team now to worry teams like Juventus. We did it to Real, and we did it to Dortmund, plus I'd say that United and Liverpool are on that level and we've done it to them as well this season.

So I think whilst we're still hugely the underdogs, we should go in with no fear. And if we can keep them within touching distance, we're a match for anyone at 'home'.
