No guarantee we'll play a high line.

We didn't against Dortmund or really against Real.

We played a high line against those teams, we always do.

It's just that they had more of the ball and subsequently had more of the ball in our half so they pushed us back but we always pushed high up when they had the ball in their half.

Bennell sex case top of Sky news headlines (understandable)

Then Lacazette's injury.

Then West Brom sacking chairman and chief exec.

Sad bastards.

Surely 1-1 is better than 0-0? You sound as if you would be disappointed.

Nah not disappointed. Probably didn’t articulate it right.

Either result would be great. I have a feeling it might be 1-1 but would be happy with 0-0

If Dennis Wise says we're doing something wrong then we must be doing everything right.

He's one of the few people in football who I'd have behind Tim Sherwood in the queue of who I'd want to be linked to my club.

I stopped my mate bottling him in Red Cube club years back after Dennis and him had a little squabbles... regrets in life :( lol he [Dennis] was being a complete wanker that night.

I think this is a true barometer of where we are. Juve is more than capable of putting on a tactical masterclass and playing us off the park. And they likely will be at the top of their game even with the injuries they currently have. Will be interesting to see how we cope in this and the return fixtures.

Feel unusually confident about tonight. Hope my local is showing the game.. but we just need a score draw tonight. The away goal could be mega crucial.

Hope we win though and like a few have said in this thread, I also believe we are the better team. Dybala is a huge loss for them.

Expecting a very tough game. We struggle most against teams who are well organised i.e. the Burnleys and the like, and Juve are just about the best organised team in Europe and obviously have 100X the quality of Burnley. I think we'll really struggle to create many chances in this one and we'll need to put away any sniff that we do get. We've been relatively wasteful chance-wise recently and we can't afford for that to happen against this lot.

This 100%.

We can be confident in the teams belief, but if we are as wasteful as we were against Arsenal and Man United we are unlikely to get much out of the game.

Nope, they are that tight at the back that they will do a job on us in the 2nd leg. We need an away goal. We need a 1-0 even if it comes of Sissoko's ass after 100 ricochets in the box in the 8th min of injury time.

Better still... go for it and get 3-0 up after 20 mins

Swamp em.
Don't give them time to breath
and start their Continental fancy stuff.
High press, the works.
Lamela speaks the language,
let him loose.
Getting excited now.
Moura, Son, pace.
Surprise 'em, amaze 'em, dazzle 'em.
Beat 'em.

I don't always agree with the President of TADN Society.
Silly old fool.

I actually really like the 11. A fresh Son from the bench against tired legs could be very good for us. Lucas could be useful with his pace and dribbling too. Wanyama perfect if we want to close the game.
Aurier ahead of Trippier is the right choice. We need his pace and power. Lamela will be up for it. I’m not expecting us to win but I’m expecting the team to put up a real fight. A draw would be good especially if we score #COYS
