That goes down as a Lloris save, don't care if he didn't touch it, he read the situation well.

Aurier makes a mistake, recovers but still dives in anyway. :banghead:
I was screaming at the screen for Lloris not to move. Lloris almost got the first one, which meant right down the middle was the most likely option.

I don't think I've ever seen our centrebacks pushing so high up the pitch. Sanchez and Vertonghen were about 15 yards inside the juventus half at times.

People not realising that this is how juve play. They don't want possession, they just defend and counter repeatedly. It's worked; higuain missed a sitter and a penalty, they could have had 4. They looked shit against fiorentina on the weekend but won 2-0.

Just didn't look ready at the start. Not concentrating, not up to speed, some mistakes, and bang 2-0 down. Maybe that helped us a bit, because you get them sitting back a bit whilst we have the ball and all of a sudden some much needed momentum and tbf we've plugged away admirably and eventually got the goal back.

That's nearly been ruined right at the end there... But it's not just the crazy tackle... Dier loses header, Costa picks up free ball with no one close to him, can turn and look to go forward, Aurier sells himself, Sanchez gets done next, and that's all before the tackle.... lots of small errors on top of each other which get punished (ultimately, thankfully not), and seconds from the whistle.

We have to be switched on, whether it's minute one or minute 45 or everything in between. We've done alright for the main part, just stop killing yourself lads.

We’ve played well but I was so pissed off at that first goal. Wasn’t even any movement on their behalf. Really poor from us.

Their ageing players might start to get tired from the intense play in the first half. Our superior fitness levels and the introduction of Sonny might sway the game towards us.

I can’t take much more of this lol

I feel exhausted recently! Not sure I have enough in the tank for Rochdale:meh:

They were saying that Aurier might have been brought in for his Champions League experience before the game. If that's what experience brings he can leave it in Paris!

Exciting game. We've played some terrific football (much better than them) but deserve to be behind because of switching off at key moments.

If we can avoid the brain farts and boss it in the second half like we have for much of the first we can get something here

Turns out Aurier did the right thing! Have to say that miss is the Higuain I've come to know.
Somehow we have given Juve a two goal lead but we are the better side by a distance this isn't Juve managing the game from defence, they being forced back and can't do much about it.
More of the same second half and this tie is ours.

Anyway, Dembele in full-on freak-beast-phenomenon mode. Never seen a player like him. Can't even think of one who's in the same ballpark in terms of style of play and range of skills.
