I do actually think Trippier would be better suited in this game and I am not shitting on Serge, I just feel like Trippier has earned the start, especially after his performance against Madrid and recent league games.

Costa roasted Aurier, Trippier would get destroyed for pace.

Just enjoy this Spurs team. Doesn't matter who we face or where, we're determined to express ourselves and play in Poch's image. No fear - sometimes it works, sometimes we lack maturity but we certainly are never prepared to die wondering.

Best team of my life time by a mile.

Can’t disagree with that.

Fuck me what a game. Aurier though what an idiot! Why’s he diving in there, we are SO lucky they missed that 2nd pen. Davies one was quite soft and really unlucky no qualms with that it was just a very poor start to the game but Aurier nearly got us virtually out of the tie. Surely Poch has been teaching him to not dive in like that, he’s seemed to be doing it less compared to his earlier games so I was feeling positive he’d turned a corner but no there he goes again, if he doesn’t stop that we will need to look for another RB because that is liability!

@Hercules mate when we signed Aurier you said we thought he was better than Walker in many departments we’ll sure in ways he’s a top player but Walker doesn’t dive in like that, thoughts?

What a game though, so many emotions. We’ve responded so so well. Let’s try to get another goal then if it finishes 2-2 or 3-2 either are ok results.

It's ironic

Usually Can't help bend over backwards defending new to the team players saying they need more than a season. Janssen could do nothing all season and still get major support

Aurier Goes in for a tackle and mis times it and now all these...fans. Spring up calling him shit and needs to be sold, he's probably had 30 appearances or less in the shirt

I don't even mind calling him shit, even though their wrong, it's the calling him a prick and get out of our club shit. Just way over the top, but it's a match thread so what do I expect

I can't remember 45 minutes flying by as quickly as that.

How many times does that early blitz catch us cold. By the time the dust has settled on 5 minutes of keystone cop football we find ourselves 2-0 down to one of the best defences in Europe. Some really schoolboy defending (and not just by defenders) for those first two goals.

What followed was classic Juve lead mode. Ive watched various games of theirs this season and this is exactly what they do, once leading against any half decent team it's straight into shell mode, and these fuckers can do it.

What was impressive was not that we then had so much of the ball, but what we actually did with it, and what we did without it, we pressed them high up, this ruffled their shape, caught them before they could get back into that two tight banks, and with the ball we were purposeful, Eriksen was outstanding, ably supported by Dembele, Alli and Lamela (glad he's out there tonight, this is now so much more his type of game than a "Son" type game) and having spurned one glorious chance, Kane finished a move that started with the press, went via Eriksen and a lovely through ball by Alli.

Aurier's idiocy was unforgivable.

I don't think I've ever seen our centrebacks pushing so high up the pitch. Sanchez and Vertonghen were about 15 yards inside the juventus half at times.
Juventus leave no-one up front to mark.
At times they leave no-one in midfield either.
