I agree with your assessment of Dembele but to say he 'carried' us is a bit unfair on the other players like Eriksen and Lamela who played very well.

I honestly think Dembele was insane he was every players get out ball and he literally made everyone else is job so much easier FairPlay to him.

But yes eriksen and lamela were also excellent

Complete agree, imagine the uproar if Trips put in that performance

This is the only negative from an absolutely wonderful game. But I feel really sorry for Tripps actually. He gets a really bad rap, but this month he has been excellent, and he’s getting dropped for the prestige games for... this guy?

I understand the need to rotate, but there is no way that Aurier should be first choice from what we’ve seen so far.

Mind!)
Eriksen 9
Dele 8

Kane 8 (should have had a pen and also should have scored that header)

Poch 8

Not sure why we’re such slow starters in big away games.

What a game. So exciting!

Eriksen my Man of the Match.

Thought Aurier should have come off after his yellow card. Risky move by Pochettino in keeping him on. But ultimately we didn't concede again and Aurier avoided a red.

Next leg should be ours - but you can't underestimate Juventus.

Can’t believe how we dominated them for 70-80minutes. This is a team 2x CL finalists in last 3 years and only conceded 1 goal in last 16 games! The spirit and resolve to come back to 2-2 after such a shocking start is so commendable, will give the group so much belief.

Lloris 8 - a number of good saves and couldn’t do much with their goals

Aurier 5 - so disappointed with the penalty he gave away, I thought he’d stopped doing that but that aside not a bad game, Costa is some winger!

Sanchez 6 did pretty well

Jan 7 very dominant he’s just on fire this season! #levels

Davies 6 - a bit unlucky with the pen but decent game

Dier 7 very solid good on and off the ball

Dembele 7 another good performance

Lamela 6 decent showing

Eriksen 8 MOTM brilliant from him, bossed the ball, great free kick and one of his best games, really upped his level

Dele 7 one of his better games

Kane 7 great goal and standard good all round performance

Tactics were pretty much spot on just a really poor start. Poor switching off from Dele for the first goal and poor organisation all round just a sloppy start, most disappointing thing was Aurier giving away that penalty as that was so rash.
Anyway brilliant game and great comeback and performance.

Bring on the 2nd leg!

Mate, 7 for Dembele? Are you serious?

Don’t be one of those guys, he was fucking incredible tonight.

I think it was more tactical than anything else because of Douglas Costa's pace. I didn't agree with it, but imo that's why Aurier got the nod.

I think that Costa would have got more joy playing against Trippier. He’s a beast on the wing.

Douglas Costa is unstoppable on his day. Trippier would've been worse imo. Maybe he wouldn't have conceded that penalty, but he would've lost more when facing him one on one
