Imagine how the players are feeling.....
The players that come in for this game should be extremely motivated. If I was on teh bench or not in the matchday squad I would want to be doing everything possible to force my way in and be a part of this team.

Did you see the Newport game?
That needs to be fresh in every players mind

Indeed. However new pitches tend to cut up initially. I’d rather our big guns Kane, Eriksen et al sit this one out.

Also it just takes one rash challeng to injure someone. We should be good enough to beat them without kane and eriksen.

He will have to stay at Spurs long enough to break it. Even more reason to rest him. That pitch is horrible, injuring Kane against a League 1 side when we have Llorente in need of game time and confidence would be unforgivable
I think he means the record for goals in a season, Kanes already scored double the total amount Allen ever scored for spurs

Vorm
Aurier Alderweireld Foyth Rose
Wanyama
Sissoko Alli Winks
Moura
Kane

Subs: Gazzaniga, Walker-Peters, Llorente, Oakley-Boothe, Trippier, Sanchez, Sterling

I mean we won't play this but think that would do nicely. A lot of rest for those that need it. I know there are few established options on the bench, but most of the team will complete the 90 and get the sharpness needed for the rest of the season.

I'd have him on the bench but it wouldn't surprise me if Eriksen starts. He missed a few games through illness recently and Poch does look at games in legs a lot when starting players. Depends if he wants to 100% make sure we don't have another replay which we could do without right now. He might feel 13 days off before next game isn't really that necessary for certain players.

Read on another forum from a poster who is quite knowledgeable that we paid for the pitch to be redone.

We would have had to get permission from the fa for that. Otherwise could be considdered a bribe.

Team kind of picks itself, imo

Vorm - Assuming he is fit, this is his competition

Trippier - rotation
Foyth - might be the last game he starts this season
Alderweireld - building fitness
Rose - building fitness

Winks - building fitness
Wanyama - building fitness - best chance to compete against Dier

Lucas - could see him on bench if fitness levels not high enough to go 90
Dele - youngest/most energy of attacking unit
Son - back into a rotation with Lamela

Llorente - last chance to start this season

Kane and Eriksen - this is probably the last match these guys do not start. With 8 days rest, I could see them start, but I think Poch keeps them on the bench.

KWP - if Rose is fit, and it seems like he is, Rose will need to build minutes more than KWP - hard luck loser here.

Sissoko - could see him start if Lucas is not ready

Lamela - coming off CL, I think he gets rested here, bench spot

Dembele - probably left at home - not the kind of sub we need to kill off the match, or chase a goal.

Dier and Vertonghen - probably the last match to rest. Dier on bench, Vertonghen left home.

Sanchez - could start in place of Foyth, but since this is probably Foyth's last match this season, I think Sanchez in on the bench

Lloris - probably left home, if Vorm is fit.

Aurier and Davies - Aurier could use the minutes, but he'll probably back-up Trippier here, Davies left at home, with KWP on the bench.

Big guns, Trips, Eriksen, Kane, Verts, Dembele, on the bench too. It’s the FA Cup fifth round. Let’s win this game!

Have a mix of youth and the likes of Son, Kane to come on in case of emergency. Leave Dembele at home wrapped in cotton wool in an oxygen chamber, or cryogenically frozen until needed
