Would love to read some comments from Juve forum. Will have a look myself later when I'm free with Google Translate if nobody else does first.

Watched the match last night in a bar on holiday. Juve fan at next table. He was shouting, cheering and being very loud in general at all the decisions. Really annoying.
When we got back to 2 each his wife and little girl arrived and he was a real tosser. Shouted at his Mrs and then had some row over money. Poor woman was so embarrassed. I thought Italians were supposed to be cool.
That's what a pouch team can do.

Been on vecchiasignora forum. Looking at Italian comments, general feeling is that Juve were suicidal by dropping deep after the first ten minutes. Obviously as in most forums most concentrating on their own performance. Here are some translated comments. I only went through the first 11 pages or so because their post match thread is on 87 pages long and I do have something resembling a life to get back to.

'All in all it went well for us, we deserved to lose. At least its still possible to get through with this result.

'They were stronger, better on the ball and fitter'

Eriksen fucked us in every possible way

If we swapped managers we would of won by 4-5 goals such is the gulf in quality between us and the 5th team in England

Tottenham were simply superior

Tottenham deserved the draw in the end, if not more.

We need to be calm, Tottenham is currently in superb form, but three weeks is a long time..

Between us and them there are two goals difference in class. This will be evident in London, we will win easily

That was very bad,
Only a 30% we get through
They literally destroyed us in midfield
With three passes they were already at the edge of our area.
Its impossible to play the whole match like that.
It went well for us to only concede two goals.
Lets concentrate on the championship.

We are obviously a better team than them, but we have more than a few things that aren't right in our squad, we have to fix that before the next leg.

We could of scored 4 goals but also conceded many more. In the whole I saw a tottenham that was better than Juve and I fear a thrashing at Wembley.

I hate to say it but I think at Wembely we will leave with broken bones. We will score, thats for sure, but these guys score 5.

Look, Tottenham is not a bad team, and this Juve lack several things when facing sides like them. They appeared much more complete, more energetic and better technically, we suffered with their rhythm, their possession and when the fight gets tough we tend to break like we are not used to fight these kind of adversaries, and its true because in Serie A nothing similar to this exists.

We were overclassed physically, technically, tactically. I'm not able to understand how much this game was due to are weaknesses or their merits. I knew it would be tough, but not this tough.

Strange game. Could of ended 3 o 4-1 as much as 2-2 and 2-2 it finished. Tottenham did not have a great game, in fact they were comical defensively. Up front they were strong yes but not at the back.

We drew against a Tottenham which on saturday made Arsenal seem like a team of 'lega pro'. If we took our moments we could of also won 3-2 o 4-2 in the end. In the last 16 games played we have drawn 2 and won the rest. Reading this forum you would think we were fans of Man U or Real, both who lost against Tottenham, just like Arsenal or Inter. Pull your selves together. Football is played by two teams and tottneham is a great team. We go to London with everything to play for.

A great team they ma be, but we are not worse. We lack the mentality. In ten years the players will still be thinking how did we draw this game. Eriksen did a Isco. Kane goal was evitable and a header. Dembele was great. Behind that they are statues but if we don't play we don't score.

Should we tell them that Toby will be back for the second leg?

Reddit is probalby the best place for English speaking Juve fans

https://www.reddit.com/r/Juve/

I'm always a bit skeptical of English-language forums for foreign clubs, especially the massive clubs like Juve, Barca etc. Maybe I'm wrong, but I always assume they're just full of spoiled glory-hunting teenagers from Saudi Arabia, China and the like who don't really know what they're talking about or have any real connection to the club other than the fact that they like Messi/Neymar/Ronaldo or whoever. Like I say, I could be wrong.

You've also just described 50% of Arsenal's fanbase

Definite football hipster/anti-EPL vibe in there too. Italian forums all the way for me in this case.

tbf, there is an anti PL vibe in pretty much every team forum in any non-PL league in europe. Certainly was present in the Juve forums I've been visiting. I was though suprised by how little research or understanding of us there was in the forums prior to the games. There is a bit of arrogance in there the weeks before the game often using our league position to show we cant be all that, while not contextualizing that in the PL in the top 6 apart from man city everyone is pretty even all things considered, or were we finished the seasons before.

I mean I guess our fans would be the same if facing, I dunno, a team form the German division or something. But it was interesting, just that the PL is labeled as if its the most global league in the world but Juve fans pay no attention to it.

With the Italian fans the anti-PL thing is probably as much the annoyance at the finances as anything. They'd probably all love to sign Eriksen after last night but due to the money in the PL they couldn't afford him despite being an elite club and us being 5th in England.

Poor English performances in recent CL campaigns wouldn't have helped matters either in terms of respect for our teams.

A few comments from the Shed End..

Haha, Juve already 1-0 up against the spuds after about 2 minutes - hope Juve keep their good start going and take an even stronger lead tonight, would be good for a laugh!

Spurs sh*t the bed fast.

Forza Juve! Hahaha

this is fun

But, but, but....they beat Real Madrid in their group...lol
Bottling c**ts.

To be fair Spuds aren't doing badly, but this Juve defence is tough to break

Crazy game, I think Spurs even deserved to score another goal, Juve after the goals they scored went down and didn't play.

Spurs actually look the better team

Spuds are playing very well and really coordinated in their possession and movement of the ball tbvh.
Wish we have Dembele in our midfield to partner with Kante.

Dream on!

We are fecked for 4th place. Spurs are playing really good now. Why must we get barca ffs this juve team is dire and the two mancs got piss easy teams.

Now the fear starts for them.

Mr. thfc1973, what you just typed is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response, were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this forum is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

A simple 'wrong' would've done just fine... ;)
