He prefers Aurier and thinks Poch can fix his brain, I'm giving this up as a bad job at this point.

My opinion that Aurier is a liability and Trippier is the better right back at this point.

As for Poch 'fixing' Serge, again, I think that's wildly optimistic.

No need to get on like that Shady, poor form.

I love this crazy bastard despite trying to chuck the game.

I think he'll be great next season.

Don't try and get smart and then play the victim, if you can't be bothered to read 4 paragraphs of text then you're in the wrong place, I've actually helped you out, not many people would do that lol (y)

I thought he did OK and people are overreacting about how reckless he is - reminds me of all the comments about Lamela. Poch appears to trust him - even on a yellow so I will wait and see how it pans out.

He can absolutely be coached into a top RB, if he's open to it. But Im with those who think we roll the dice when he starts right now.

It baffles me why fans still write off players so early in their spurs careers.

Why do some of you never learn?

Instead you’ll either go into hiding when the player improves, never acknowledge the improvement or just have to grudgingly admit you were too hasty with your condemnation.

Is it really that difficult to show some patience with a player who has only been in this country a matter of months?

I think it's a case of being disappointed before. The M7 - Soldado, Paulinho etc. By the time we have waited a couple of seasons for these players to come good the team that had a chance of winning something may be disbanded. I'm not saying this is my view, but I know from talking to others - particularly 'senior' spurs fans that they may not be around much longer to see a tottenham side that wins the title.

The seeming continuation of purchases of players who fail to make the grade immediately gives some fans the feeling that we've messed up, ... again...

Again, not really my view - just going on what I've read on forums.

Many players did not make it after a not impressive start because they then have thousands of impatient ‘supporters’ getting on their backs during games, abuses on media etc. It then became difficult for the managers to continue using them.

Mad what a few weeks does, last month if aksed Trips or Aurier first choice most would of said Aurier, but in the last 3 PL matches, Trips has been abosutely immense against top opposition (the biggest doubt of his game was can he play against high quality players).

I'm not going to make a judgement after half a season.

If we did that with all our fullbacks then we wouldn't have Rose and Davies (or have kept Walker long enough for him to become a 50mill player)

If you can't see the immense potential in Aurier, you are a blind motherfucker who should rather be listening to women's handball on the radio. Next season, he'll be integral. He has done very well this season, way better than the first season of both Davies and Trippier. Put together. And quadrupled.

OK well Poch has a lot to do. His crossing seems terrible, passing meh, positioning is bad and of course the slide tackle.

I hadnt seen him play before he signed, but I was promised Walker pace which he doesnt have or at least I havent seen it

Who promised you this?

Decision making is not something that can be easily coached to a 25 year old full international professional footballer.

What's Poch going to do? A session on staying on your feet in the box? How not to take risks when you've already been booked?

A list of players who have improved under Poch as FOOTBALLERS, doesn't say anything about their mentality or Poch's ability to change this particular aspect of Aurier for the better...especially when none of them were as bad as Serge for this type of shit.

Was Walker sold because of attitude or ability? Has Danny Rose's attitude changed really (see infamous interview)?

Do you think when Aurier got sent off in 5 mins against West Ham or gave away the penalty against Madrid when we were beating them nothing was said? Has he changed his behaviour since? No. Will he? Time will tell, but I doubt it. Look back at his career to date, there's one thing that's consistent and sadly it doesn't reflect well on Aurier's intelligence as a footballer.

I would LOVE him to prove me wrong and change his ways, as I think he has potential, but at this stage I doubt he will.

Furthermore, the reason I'm as vocal is because Trippier has been getting a fucking shocking time over practically one game against Citeh and Sane, when arguably no-one (IMO) would have been able to handle him in the same circumstances.
Probably the biggest improvement in Walker and Rose’s game under Pochettino was decision making. Of course you can coach a player to make better decisions.

Why is this about Trippier vs Aurier? Trippier has been brilliant recently. But some people seem to be using that as a dig at anyone who rates Aurier. Bizarre.
