First off, please redirect me if the content of this is thread is covered elsewhere.

I am a long time Spurs fan (25 years+) from the South West but have never been to a game (11 years of a growing family and career). After a troublesome year for some family members and a close friend, it has put in to perspective to say yes to things and no longer put things off! So myself and a few others want to watch a Spurs game.

Can anyone offer any advice on how to get tickets for 5 (myself, my son, my dad, a friend and his dad)? Do we all have to become members?

What is the best way to get to the game? Drive and park or get the train?

Does anyone have any advice on Wembley seating? Is it worth paying the extra money for closer seats?

If we go to an evening game I imagine we would stay overnight so are there any recommended hotels in close vacinity to Wembley?

Any advice will be very much appreciated!

there are only five premier league games +CL & FA cup games left at wembley , so possibly 10 all together
if one of you are a member then its possible to buy extra tickets in varuios sales phases for most games remaining except the A games e.g city or juve coming up. if you look at the thfc site now , you'll see extra tickets avail for Newcastle etc

driving is possibly best it depends , if you do , you can book parking at wembley on the wembley parking website
https://www.wembleyofficialparking.com/event/index/ train you'll have to check if its a better option

hotels better google it

If you buy extra tickets on guest days, do you have to buy your own at the same time or can you do that and then buy theirs separately( I realise this would mean different seating area)

Might also be worth having a look and see if there are any Spurs supporters clubs local to you.

These clubs usually ( know they used to) secure tickets and some even lay on coach transport.

I know 2 coach loads used to go to WHL from my town.

Go here and find games on general sale then don’t need to be members >http://m.tottenhamhotspur.com/tickets/

Yes, I think the only games that haven't gone to General sale were in the CL - Real Madrid, and now I think Juve sold out to members - so you probably don't need to join this season.

Next season might be different... at least for the big league games anyway.

EDIT,

Meant that to be a reply to @Ady turner ....

Hotel wise, Harrow has a brand spanking new travel lodge not far from the tube. Not sure what the parking deal is but there’s a massive empty car park opposite as well.

Best bet for large ticket bookings is a replay with Rochdale. All the cup games this season have been £10

I drive up from Devon. We park at the intu shopping centre at Uxbridge then get the tube to Wembley. Drive takes 3 and half hours and the tube then takes half an hour. Parking at the shopping centre is fairly cheap e.g. a quid per hour. Hope that helps.

Where in the South West are you? I travel to games from the South West too. There are a number of official supporters' clubs in the area. Check out this link:

http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/supporters-club/club-finder/

I'm a member of Somerset Spurs (North Devon Spurs usually travel with us too). Somerset Spurs have 3 pick up points (Taunton, Bridgwater and Gordano). There's a number of us in Somerset Spurs who are season ticket holders, so travel is provided for every home game.

We also try and do as many away games as possible (not so many this season as tickets are ever increasingly difficult to get hold of), but last season we were able to get tickets to most away games.

Let me know if you want any more info, and I'd be happy to help wherever I can.

Living in Paignton, South Devon, i try and get to 3-6 home games a year.

It has been much easier this year to get tickets due to the huge capacity of Wembley. However, myself and a mate became Lilywhite members a few years ago, it costs about £40-£45 per season, for that you get a nice pack with memorabilia and a scarf PLUS you get access to tickets before they go on GA. This is very useful as not only can you pick up what Bronze members don't take, but it also gives you access to the Ticket Exchange platform the club provide (Where season ticket holders list their tickets for sale on a one off basis). ALSO, i can (only on certain games) buy two tickets.

I've found this really useful, plus have built up loyalty points so i have a better chance of getting away tickets. The pack this year was great as it even contained a key ring with blades of grass from WHL.

I get the train up, its about £90 return for Sunday games, or £20 single for week night games. (Going Juve game and its costing a total of £27.50, going 7th, returning 8th).

My only thought about getting tickets is you have to have registered for a Spurs One account, usually 8-12 weeks before the game you wish to attend, which now might mean you'd miss the season. I believe if you become a member (Lilywhite and up) the 8-12 week doesn't apply.

So, I got a guest ticket for a friend the other day( Man City) and managed to get the seat next to where we are sitting. The check out position was a bit confusing but I opted for the ticket to be sent by post - this turned out to be correct, even though there were no explanations during the process. I assume that my friend will simply present his ticket at the turnstile and that there is no need for pre-registration on the system as has been mentioned for certain games but is still a mystery to me? Anyone with any experience of taking a guest with them who can confirm please?

I took my dad and boys to their first game earlier this season (West Brom) thouroughly enjoyable day (apart from the result).

Got tickets on general sale, middle tier, excellent view. There’s a couple of fixtures that might need rescheduling (Newcastle & Brighton) so you could have a good chance of another general sale.

We drove down from the North West, parked at Wembley, really easy. Bite to eat before match.

I bought some guest tickets for the Arsenal game and have to agree its a fkin shambles. I was expecting to see 'Guest' on the drop down menu to assign the ticket but nope, nothing, so I assisgned them to me and my dad again although we'd already purchased ours. I then received another email and I thought well how the hell are they gonna get in?
Looked all over website. Nothing.
I ended up phoning the ticket office and they said 'oh yeah thats fine you'll get tickets in the post'.....
And how the fk was I supposed to know that? I'd have thought they'd request the guests names and put those on the tickets as well.
I think Spurs website and ticket booking system is utter shite to be honest.
I've always put it down to them knowing every seat will be filled no trouble whatever at whl. Hopefully it'll get a revamp once we're in our new home.
