i'd have they'd be much further round by now if that were the case.

I don't mean the metal armadillo like shells, I mean the fishing rod type angular things. They are at least 75% around the ring, just the south stand that needs to be completed.

Had a thought last night. We don’t want the away fans in the north stand, we want them next to us in the new Park Lane end as before. Perhaps they should have the east stand lower.

I've thought similar in terms of atmosphere, but those seats are too 'premium' in terms of both price and location, as with most stadiums that have corners, that's where the away fans go as they are typically considered the least good location and a good way of making the fans look less of a presence (a flat side always looks like more people than a corner).

Hopefully it forces us to have a vocal Paxton again. I don't think our side of the segregation should be a family area.

I have a suspicion that it is to do with us wanting safe standing at some point.
The police are more likely to grant it if it is well away from away fans as it would be less likely that it would kick off, or cause crushing if fans surge towards the away fans.
@Phischy makes a very good point though.

From what I can make out I they seem to be in now.

Is that an actual consideration? To make away fans look smaller. I’m not so sure, although there must be some calculation of risk. Also I always thought putting the away fans by the west stand made it a lot easier to get away fans in and out from the high road, as the crowd flows to that specific corner. If they put the away lot in the Paxton they will have to travel further.... I guess it could depend on the updated location of away fan coaches?

Edit - also, look at this guy up there!! what a great day to be alive
