If Kane started Newport he will start this. I don’t see the difference. The guy wants 50 goals desperately.

What I like about this type of FA Cup tie is that most Spurs fans seem to want Kane rested, but probably the whole of Rochdale, including thousands of youngsters, will be broken hearted if he is!

Broken hearts are much better than broken legs though. I have no confidence on their pitch even though they are going to relaid the pitch. I think putting Kane on the bench is quite enough

KWP needs to start for me, but Serge needs game time too. So I'd like to see this, I know we won't though.

He also wants to star in the World Cup, and win the CL with us, and also listens to Sport Scientists / Medical people to maximise his performance. Playing every game will hit his form in the last QTR of the season and also affect his summer tournament. He would be mad to insist on playing.

They've got an atrocious pitch, so Poch may decide not to risk him.

It's a possibility...

For anyone else living under a rock they have a new pitch. Apparently Rochdale like to play football so I don’t see this being anymore of a rough house game than palace next week. Obviously sensible thing is to rest kane. But in his mind he has 15-20 games to get 17 goals. If they hadn’t put a new pitch down I’d have said no way. But with a new pitch and a decent style of football it wouldn’t bother me.

That's crazy - bottom of the league but with 3-5 games in hand on the teams above.

League position means nothing in terms of our game though.

I don't think KWP needs to start seeing as he is third choice FB on either side. He would have benefitted from a year's loan to toughen up a bit.

I think it would be good to give Trippier a chance to keep his legs active after sitting out the last one.

Personally, i think there is 0 doubt that Kane will want to play this game. He loves playing and he just wants to score as many goals as possible. Similar to Newport away I think Kane will be knocking on the manager's door telling him he's ready, particularly with an 8 day break afterwards. This is what I would like to see but I think Sissoko will start. Not sure for who though.

Vorm
Trippier - Foyth - Alderweireld - Rose
Wanyama - Winks
Lucas - Lamela - Son
Kane

Gazzaniga - Aurier - KWP - Sissoko - Eriksen - Dele - Llorente
Like this and probably what I would go for, but I can see Sissoko starting instead of Lamela. In fact, I would be surprised if Sissoko doesn't start.

Guaranteed starters (if fit) are: Vorm, Toby, Rose, Foyth, Winks, Wanyama, Moura, Sissoko.

Kane will most likely play as he did against AFCW and Newport (A), and I'd expect Trippier to start as he was rotated. So, filling in the gaps:

Vorm
Trippier - Foyth - Toby - Rose
Wanyama
Moura - Winks - Sissoko - Son
Kane

Subs: Gazzaniga, Sanchez, KWP, Dier, Eriksen, Dele, Llorente.

Stronger bench than should be required, but fuck fitting in a return leg if they get a draw. Finish them off on Sunday.
