Same was said about AFC & Newport and he was fine
Thats like saying i played russian roulette one time and that turned out fine.. why would you risk it given that Kane is absolutely integral to our run-in? This is possibly the final game we can rest him between now and the summer. It's about managing the risks. Play Llorente.

KWP needs to start for me, but Serge needs game time too. So I'd like to see this, I know we won't though.

How many players do you like seeing out of their most natural position? Might as well stick Kane in goal, too. :ROFLMAO:

Technically we played it twice (y)

He has 8 days rest after. No need to rest but I’ll go with poch on this

Kane will play. He wants Clive Allen's record. No game then for 8 days so lots of recovery time.

Who cares what he wants? There's really no need to risk him, and given that Llorente is also a part of this squad, we should take whatever chance we have to give him play time and maybe help him gain some match fitness and confidence.

Thing is, you can rest players, but let's be honest, they largely work on instinct. They're seriously fit, and they're young. Like, if they're given too much of a break it can have the same effect as ring-rustiness imo.
I think some of them need to play often to keep sharp.

Look how Juventus looked fucking spent in the latter stages of the second half after their winter break...

Just thinking out loud. I don't want to risk players, but if they WANT to start, it's probably because they feel they can.

Could potentially see us go with a back 3 again for this one, Sanchez, Foyth, Toby. Leaving Sissoko out of the mid.

I'm quite sure Sissoko is a dead cert for this game. And fair enough as well, he needs to play just like many others. I believe Poch will stick to the formation we've used in our great run of late, but we'll see at least 9 changes from the team that started against Juve.

I would play alli for this one.
He has experience playing lower league teams and a goal might boost his confidence and maybe start a run of goals for him

Vorm (if better)
KWP - Toby - Foyth - Rose
Wanyama - Winks
Son - Dele - Lucas
Sterling

Bench: Gazza, Dier, Trips, TOB, Eriksen, Lamela, Llorente

Want KWP at RB. Picked the mids who played the least minutes against juve. Sterling up top because he suits the way poch wants to play far better than llorente who is more of a plan B. I suspect that sissoko will probably be in there but i don't think he should be - maybe in place of dele. Very happy to have Vorm in the team, even when he starts league games I'm not concerned. Would start for a lot of other clubs in the league including liverpool.
