To be fair, they have done better than us to the tune of 8 points since we beat them at Wembley. Remember we had a pretty dreadful spell in November/December whereas they've been very consistent since then.

To be fair we havn't had true home advantage all season, a hugely significant point most have overlooked.

[Blue Moon said] Think there's a very real chance they finish second behind us. These are their remaining fixtures in the league:

Crystal Palace (a), Huddersfield (h), Bournemouth (a), Newcastle (h), Chelsea (a), Stoke (a), Man City (h), Brighton (a), Watford (h), West Brom (a), Leicester (h).

That league run in fixture list is fantastic to read. I hadn’t realised we’d completed that many games v the top half.

27 points minimum there I hope.

Just to add a bit of perspective...

The same 11 fixtures yielded 24 points last season:

7 wins (Crystal Palace, Sunderland-for-Huddersfield, Hull-for-Newcastle, Stoke, Man City, Middlesbrough-for-Brighton & Watford)
3 draws (Bournemouth, West Brom & Leicester)
1 loss (Chelsea,of course)

Based on corresponding results, we are presently 10 points behind last season. Because we only dropped 9 points from the corresponding fixtures last season, the best we could achieve, if we win all 11 of our remaining matches, is 85 points - 1 fewer than last season.

After 27 matches, we are 4 points behind last season. Our last 11 matches of last season produced 10 wins and 1 loss (West Ham). Similarly, the best we could achieve, if we win all 11 of our remaining matches, is to recover 3 points and finish with 85 points - 1 fewer than last season.

I don't think anyone expects us to win all 11 of our remaining league matches. We had a storming finish to last season, greatly fuelled by it being the end of OWHL. And we didn't have any Champions League pressures during that run-in, only the 4-2 loss to Chelsea in the FA Cup, just before league match 33.

And to be even more pedantic: out of the 11 remaining fixtures, 7 are against teams in the bottom half, but one of those is Watford, who are 11th by 1 point.

It’s close between us and Liverpool. No one can deny they’re playing some excellent football and to beat Porto away 5-0 is pretty amazing. Porto aren’t a pushover, they may have lost to Galatasaray recently but they’ve beaten some giants there in the past. They’ve been excellent overall since we thrashed them. And we’ve been excellent in 2018.

Sure, 5-0 away in a Champions League knock-out game is pretty good, but let's face it, Porto are the weakest team in the competition. They qualified second from what was probably the weakest group by beating Monaco, who were already out and couldn't even make the Europa League, in the final game. A lot of people on here wanted Porto and RAWK celebrated like they'd just won the CL when the draw was made.

They were missing their top scorer - the disparity between the number of times it's been mentioned Porto were missing Aboubakar and 'but Dybala was injured' is pretty ridiculous. They might be unbeaten in their domestic league but after Benfica and Sporting the rest of the league is pretty dire. It wasn't so long ago they lost only one game across three successive seasons. It'll be interesting to see what happens if Liverpool ever have to play someone good in the competition.

They have already played Sevilla and been held twice. Sevilla aren't even that strong. They also spunked themselves at 3 up away from home. After the last 16 there won't be any easy draw anyway. Hope they get City to be honest.

I want them to get Real Madrid again personally, and hopefully this bloke will be there :

Two of the questions were, how many times have Liverpool won the champions league.

I think you are being a tad harsh.

It is a trick question for the Mickeys.

Every Liverpool fan learns at his/her Mammy's teat that the Redmen (cowm'on th' Red-Men) have won the European Cup/CL more times than any other club (five tiems, La, five tiems).

They know the final digit is five.

Real Madrid have won the European Cup/CL twelve times.

Therefore, if Liverpool have won the European Cup/CL more times than anyone else, the amount ends in five and Real Madrid have won it twelve times, quite clearly Liverpool must have won it at least fifteen times, and probably more. Why else would that fella be goading Real Madrid with the number of times Liverpool have won the blessed thing - it would be crazy otherwise, wouldn't it? So, fifteen times, maybe twenty-five.

It is only by a process involving the Special Laws of Relativity that the correct answer for a number more than twelve and ending in five is actually zero five. And we can't expect the Mickeys to learn the Special Laws of Relativity just to answer a few questions about football. Why should they, for, as we all know, they go to watch the football, not the manager!

It's quite remarkable, really. You can see in the second image that it isn't, but in the first image, you could be forgiven for thinking it was Graeme Souey Souness.

Also, why does he have seven fingers on his hand in the first image. Indeed, adding to the confusion, why is he claiming they've won it seven times in the first image and only five in the second.
