I'd certainly suggest that Malcom appears to have more potential. Him or Sessegnon out there for me.

Richarlison can play as a striker as well as widethough, that may be the thinking behind it, Llorente replacement possibly

You could well be right. That said, he'll certainly have to work on his finishing, he's missed some sitters this season.

Yeah it’s hard to judge him, I ain’t seen a lot of him, he seems good at times but as you say misses sitters. It has been said on here he’s been playing without a rest for quite a while so that may be affecting his form. He does seem to have the work rate and desire that poch likes though and is young enough to improve

only watched the 2nd half but he looks very good. not sure he's still on our radar now we have lucas though?
Winter ITK was that we were interested in both - not as alternative targets. I don't know if that is still true - but it was at one point.

We are still in for Malcom. Poch wants quality variables. Word out is he wants us. Depends on how things pan out with in the summer. And already mentioned few times, we were very close etc. I hope it still happens, and I remain optimistic.

Yeah does look a prospect but, as you say, now we have Lucas I’m a little unsure if we should be going for him. He has a lot of potential but needs a lot of game time, being a rotation option at this point in his career would be hard as I think he’s still very raw. I would have assumed we would want a left wing forward more as we already have Lucas, Lamela and Sissoko on the right. Even if we sell Sissoko that still leaves the other two were as we only have Son as a natural left sided player. I realise all our attackers rotate and Alli often starts on the left but he seems more comfortable in the middle. If looking for another wide player I would prefer we pick Pulisic instead of Malcom but I realise getting him would be a very hard ask.

That's an interesting read, thanks, but if anyone who's actually watched this guy play could give me an actual description of him I'd be really grateful.

I briefly mentioned this in another thread but I have done the tight camera on some Netherlands U-21 games that he played in last year. He had plenty of involvement on the ball so I saw him up close and personal through the lens. He seemed to me to be a more offensive player, playing relatively high up on the pitch and being the main outlet of creativity or the hub of the passing in the final third. He had a very delicate first touch and seemed to have more time on the ball than he actually did, due to his awareness and his ability to beat a man with his brain and touch. He had good vision and a lovely weight to his pass. He didn't seem particularly quick to me but that may have been more to do with his style of play, where he tended to discreetly move into pockets of space and string moves together. Perhaps, he plays more defensively for his club, but he certainly did not seem to me to be a physically imposing player like Dier is, and in fact he looked a little lightweight to me. People at this age still have a lot of room for physical growth, however.

Funnily enough, he was the one player I chose to mention and compliment when talking to some of the Netherlands U-21 video analysts after the first match I filmed involving him. He stood out to me immediately and looked like the best player on the park. He certainly could have potential as a deep lying playmaker but I had envisaged him more closer to Eriksen's position, or alongside a Dier/Wanyama in midfield, he looked a little off being physically ready for the PL, imo.
