I'm not sure if people love defending Sissoko (and he's not been terrible but did have a part in the goal) or just love having a go at other posters.

Probably the latter, some are intent on being contrarian because they don’t want to agree with certain posters even when clear evidence and logic exists in their arguments.

I would agree Sissoko hasn’t been the worst player for us today but my overall argument would be that just having him in the team makes us play with less creativity and makes us less balanced across the entire pitch, it’s been the same every time he starts for us.

If we are playing more an orthodox four man midfield then it makes even more sense sooner rather than later to introduce Lamela for Sissoko on the right

We have always under estimated the smaller teams and nearly paid the price, this may be our turn...

Think back to Burnley, Sheff Utd in the cup, Stevenage away in FA cup, Newport, today... its in our DNA

FFS can we get another body in the midfield that can hold the ball...and wants the ball.

I'll never understand why we play a weaker team to the bring the big guns on. Why not start them and take them off when comftable?
What if Kane got his ankle kicked? then we would all be whinging like little girls and saying he should never have been started in this kind of game. Just like the Newport game, we ought to have a 2nd 11 capable of winning this no matter what.
