The most disappointing thing is how easy we made their second goal look - it's as almost as if they walked the ball through an empty half.

Ah well, the curse of coming home and sticking the telly on for the last 10 minutes.

You can't just focus on individuals as poor as some of them undoubtably were. Yet again we send out a team that has the collective decision making nous of a bag of wingnuts, defenders who play the ball out to players running back toward our own goal at pace whilst under the press, who then lose the ball due to poor control or being put under pressure straightaway, if that's how we're going to play then of course we're going to struggle. There's no cohesion, no continuity and no fucking brains.

I'm left wondering at what exact fucking point will Pochettino realise that you can't just cobble any old team together and expect to win just because it's Newport/Rochdale or whoever. It's frustrating because it mirrored the Newport game in many ways. We'll probably get through to a Quarter Final but if Pochettino does this again then I really don't think we have a manager who's serious about winning this cup.
Disagree. It’s squad management. He needs to give the chance to the back up players so they get minutes and match fitness, also it’s important for squad morale to share the minutes, if these players don’t get started in these kind of games then it shows a complete lack of faith in them. He also needs to rest the main team when we have so many games still. These games are never easy, it’s the smaller teams biggest game of their lives. Good we got the draw and hopefully that same ‘2nd team’ can make a better job of it at home.

Well done rochdale. They'll make about half their annual revenue from these two games so it should help pay off their new pitch and get some new players in during the summer.

On our lot, just dreadful. Toby, wanyama and winks are still a fair way off. Llorente had some good touches but missed that sitter. Son was a shambles. Rose was gilberto in the first half and marcelo in the second. Trippier wasn't at his best. Sissoko was actually fine, Foyth fairly good and lucas great.

It's games like these that make me think that the kids really could have done better if given the chance. They'd be hungry for the opportunity and want to prove themselves.

If everyone is fit then the replay is actually a good thing. We need to give players minutes as we might have to rely on them later in the season. Having said that, FFS Tottenham, is bloody embarrassing that we can’t beat Neeport or Rochdale
This. Replay extra game is not a problem just disappointing we didn’t have the nous and quality to get he job done first time. I really think we need a better back up striker though, has been an issue for ages.

Had too many players starting today with far too few minutes on the pitch and it showed.

The likes of Toby, Winks, Wanyama, Rose, Foryth and Llorente might be fit, but they clearly lacked match sharpness.

Not the end of the world. We'll beat them at Wembley and plenty of our squad need the minutes, apart from Sissoko, obviously, who should never play another single minute of football for the rest of his life.

Why do we do this to ourselves. It's like the second team want more games to play

He would quite correctly expect the team to be able to beat Rochdale, but there were poor decisions being made in the first half. I think that Pochettino clearly does not rate the FA cup as highly as the Champions League or the EFL, but that doesn't mean that he doesn't rate it at all.

Yers, I understand all that but it's not much use 'managing' the squad if you're giving yourself more games to play now is it? Or if you have to bring the 'rested' players on and STILL fail to get a result. And it's doubly not much good if you're not going to have them prepared right from the off either.

Lots of criticism for Rose, Wanyama, Winks etc but it's clear to see that these guys need consistent game time to get their rhythm up to speed again. Unfortunately they missed preseason and it really has been a stop-start season for them. The replays could come in handy as it will give them a chance to find it.

Starting 11 wasn't perfect and it did seem to be cobbled together a bit. If we get through and play Swansea we should be picking a stronger team though.
