No one involved in Arsenals move is still alive and yet that is the basis of our rivalry. There is no logic in football support so it can't be flawed, if you don't want to sing about it fine but he's not irrelevant, he betrayed us in the worst way when we didn't have very much and if people want to let him know it's not forgotten then I think that's justified

This is just pathetic

'We're all having a party...When sol Campbell dies.'
&
'Ehhhhh, Sol Campbell, Ju..Das...I wanna know, why you're such a ****'

Were the two I could hear.

As has been already said, I see no problem with the second song, but draw the line at the first one.

Do think it’s time we moved on though, he’s an irrelevance now.

I hate him and I would sing the song

No idea how you can have actual hate for a person you don't know and that in the grand scheme of things has likely done to you to warrant that.

Each their own i guess

It's all so old and so irrelevant now and it makes our supporters seem small minded with a playground mentality. We should be above this kind of shit but as usual, a small minority drag us all down. The people who come out with this crap at every opportunity are on a par with the hissing WHU fans who we all condemn as morons.

I find it hard to choose between English habits I dislike more. Football fans singing horrible songs, or whiny armchair fans. It’s a tough call

I wonder what goes through the mind of the knuckle-draggers who sing a song about wanting a former footballer to die?

I suppose not very much.

I've done a few away trips. I'll probably get stick for saying this, and there are many good people who go on them, and every week at that supporting the team, but there is also a sizeable number of idiots who just go to get absolutely wrecked and have a bit of a singsong whilst trying to goad the home fans - in all honesty from what I've witnessed some of them are only half interested in watching the actual football match.

So sometimes all is good, it's a good singalong and comes across well on TV.... But I have also seen a lot of bad. I've more than once seen, when we've conceded a very early goal, those who haven't even bothered come out for the start of the game (choosing to remain at the bar) appear from the concourse and scream obscenities at players/managers/chairman, before retiring back again to finish their drinks. There was a spell where for about four or five away games I went to I'd hear racial abuse of our own players - Adebayor got some pretty bad stuff in particular. And probably the worst one, I've shared before on here - a minutes silence at one game ruined because half our lot were still down at the bar at 3pm singing some Arsenal/Campbell song rather than out there ready to watch the match.

I guess as in all life you get some dickheads amongst the good people.

Really? You really think that tongue in cheek songs about rivals are as bad as anti-semitism and mocking the deaths of 6 million Jews.

This thread just reached new levels of sanctimony.
