Looks like we have a player on our hands. Didn't know what to expect when we signed him but if he carries on we will have a new dimension to our play that we haven't had since bale. A runner that takes people on and is direct!

Absolute mustard. Levels above. Finally we have someone with pace who can run at teams, he will certainly put a lot of pressure on Eriksen alli son Lamela positions. When fully fit he should start over son or alli all day.

Come on mate. He had one (albeit excellent) game against Rochdale and you're already subbing Son/Alli who have performed exceptionally for at least the last 2 seasons.

Until 2 weeks ago, Son was one of the first names on the teamsheet

And I believe there there the odd few who were not entirely overwhelmed with him, though welcomed the signing.

I'm really excited about him, but I don't think we should get too carried away. I think what we saw yesterday is pretty much what he's all about - pace, skill and a surprising amount of tenacity. Unfortunately, the rushed shots and misplaced final passes are also a feature of his game, and have been ever since he broke through in Brazil by all accounts.

I imagine that's the player he'll continue to be at Spurs, which is is great, because we need a direct, tricky pace player in our squad. He's certainly not Eden Hazard, however, and I think people will be disappointed if they're expecting that level of quality from him.

At least he can fucking dribble though. That's a start.

I know he's explosive but I do believe he has the traits to be like Eden Hazard, the ability to draw players and create space for others.

If he can scores as many goals, i'll be happy.

To be fair most of the misplaced passes were because he was passing to Llorente, who seemingly has the agility of a Yorkie bar.

He's definitely got another dimension to his game than the likes of Lennon who was a pure right winger. He looks to commit defenders everywhere on the pitch and looked especially good at dribbling through the centre as well. I liked how switched on and sharp he looked during the game as well which is great especially when he's barely played all season.

Played a bit like Hazard but obviously I doubt he's going to possess that level of quality just yet.

I like what I saw and I’m very optimistic about him, but likening him to Hazard and putting him ahead of Dele is about as premature as me choosing what shirt to wear when Emily Watson accepts my invitation to join me on a romantic weekend in Kiev to celebrate winning the CL final.

When comparing our players to popular confectionary I tend to think of Llorente more as a slightly melted Curly Wurly, but I take your point.

Again same reply to the other person who just questioned me saying this. Did you not watch him at PSG? This guy is a class above, he’s also older and more experienced than Son and Dele, different kinds of players so we’ll need to use a mix of them BUT on pure ability and level right now at this point in their careers yes I’d absolisuly say Moura should be starting ahead of both of them and anyone who’s watched him play for years at PSG will realise that. There’s a reason why neymar was so disappointed Moura left.
Guy is class.

I saw Soldado at Valencia, doesn't mean much. Our players should get game time based on their performances here, not at previous clubs. Not knocking him at all, just don't see how he goes ahead of Dele and Son based on one appearance against Rochdale.

Him and Lamela give us real game changers off the bench, and genuine rotation options in the attacking positions. Saying either should start is a bit premature, especially as Dele’s form has been much improved of late and Son has been one of our most important players this season

But it’s cetainly a nicer problem to have than the dirth of quality we had on our bench earlier in the season
