Damn, you just won the argument. Such a cutting riposte.

So you judge the validity of an argument by whether someone can beat someone else up? Yeah, thought as much.

The 80s called, it wants you back.
I'll drop your 'joke' off while I'm there.
Wish I could go back tbh, the games gone, like so many of the fans.

So it IS pantomime then?

So it's grown men and women, spending their scant spare time and their hard-earned money on pretending to wish someone would die? Rather than coming up with songs about our players, the best team Spurs have had in a generation?

Just so it's established.

Hate is as much a part of football as love. You love one, you hate another. It's that tribalism that people find compelling. Hate lies at the very foundation of the entire sport.

If you are looking for sporting events where the attending public exclusively supports their own team and pay no attention to whom the opposition is, where they're from, or what players represent them, then I'm surprised you're a football fan at all.

“I have never been so embarrassed to be a spurs fan....”

Exactly how I felt when i read the OP.

You’d have cried if you’d been on the shelf in the 80s sunshine.

I reckon the songs these days are far worse than they were back in the day. Yes obviously there was much more effing and blinding from just about everyone but for songs most went along the lines of 'Your gonna get your fuckin head kicked in' and 'Your going home in a London ambulance'

Even the Harry Roberts song? I'm sure that'd get a mention on talksport.

The BBC’s mike placement was a bit silly! So is the poster embarrassed about kicking in the head of the Arse puppet?

I loved all the songs!

The La la you’re shit song is not just cringe, and always sung at the wrong times/opponents, the worst thing is that it sounds absolutely awful, so slow and miserable and pales in comparison to the much more fun:

You’re fucking shiiiiit
Boom boom boom boom
You’re fucking shiiiiit
Boom boom boom boom
You’re fuckin shit you’re fuckin shit
You’re fucking shiiiiit
Boom boom boom boom

Which should only be sung against other top 6 sides and only when we’re at least three goals up with 11 seconds to go.

mmmm ok but unless i cant remember all the shocking old songs then i reckon they are worse these days. Maybe because its all talk these days rather than absolute carnage all around the ground week in week out

But what about the feelings of the opponents fans? :(

That tune for me was always Chelsea's and when we sang it to them it was fantastic. For me it should only be reserved for them when we get to turn them over

Taking my 5 year old son and him having to witness that song was disgraceful, and this wasn’t a minority singing it. It was an absolute embarrassment. How people can’t let this go is beyond me. We sound small minded and pathetic. Can people actually comprehend how this comes across to other teams, and the same wankers singing it are probably the same who condemn Chelsea and West Ham for thier fans behaviour.

It's time to move on from Campbell now, he left 16 years ago, singing about him keeps him relevant, Arsenal fans love it when fans sing about him, it shows that we are still hurting.

It's football, it's clearly tongue in cheek, no one actually will have a party when he dies.
