@LexingtonSpurs :finger:

*picks back up the rum*
The point still stands...Foyth was in the exact same position( next to someone he has "barely" played with before, on the side he never plays (in case you are still drinking, they both played one half on the left), against a dogged, physical, rugged opponent...), and outplayed Toby...

Toby had a bad game.

Second game back (granted, not first); still wrong game for him to start imo; still for the reasons stated (even with them switching places).

Not actually sure what your precise point is.

Toby had an under par game. Yes.

Foyth had a good game. Yes.

Some players performed better than others. Yes.

Variables?

Lloris
Aurier___Sanchez____Verts____Rose
Dier___Dembele
Lucas___Eriksen____Lamela
Kane

The team I would like to see, not who I think Poch will pick

Wayne Hennessy got injured in training they have no keeper  apart from some 20 yr old kid Dion Henry who’s never made a league appearance and is only 5 11”

He will get motm. The amount of unknown/rubbish keepers that get motm against us is unbelievable.

I agree with your general point about Toby. He wasn’t the only one to have a bad game. Of the players still getting back to full match fitness , Wanyama and especially Winks were poor. Rose wasn’t good either until the last 30 minutes.

Does that mean that none of those players as well as Toby should be considered for Palace and our other upcoming matches ?

Frankly with City losing yesterday we have as good a chance as anyone else to win the Cup and from now on we should not be choosing significantly weaker teams in that competition. We didn’t need this replay and I’m sure we wouldn’t have had one if we had made 4 or 5 changes instead of 11.

We have to pick our best team. There may be some tired players so i have given them a 2nd option.

So with that in mind:

Lloris

Davies/Rose, Jan, Sanchez, Toby/Dier, Aurier/Trippier

Dembele, Dier/Wanyama

Eriken, Dele, Son/Lamela

Kane.

Palace in my eyes don't do putting 10 men behind the ball, and do need points especially with what they have coming up. in their next 5 fixtures they face us, Man U, Chelsea, Huddersfield, and Liverpool. yes if they could nick a point in every game against the top mob, that would be a bonus, but they just don't set up to defend.

i'd play:

Lloris-
--------Aurier-----Sanchez-------Jan -------Davies--------
---Dier-------Dembele-----
--------Moura-----Dele------Eriksen
Kane

Vorm, Trippier, Toby, Winks, Lamela, Wanyama, Son
edit: Wanyama in for Llorente, and will use Son covering striker.

Can I just say, that I have never been so embarrassed to be a Spurs fan.

Three, not two, three threads.

Give us strength.

cheers we don't usually have an OTT headline for the thread, and if its in the "I have never been so embarrassed to be a Spurs fan" also then I'd definitely not of seen it after reading the 1st post. at 1st thought it was an over-reaction to drawing with Rochdale. the minute I saw it was about the scummy Campbell, I left the thread.
