Still early days, and we have to see how he gets on against a decent PL defence, but right when he first got on the ball, I thought, yeah, this is a Spurs player. And not in the crap, 90s lazy, luxury player way, but just someone who wants to get on the ball, is comfortable with it at his feet.

He will be a lot of fun to watch, and probably have some days where we'll be tearing our hair out, but I'm looking forward to the ride.

PS Oh he was decent on the left too! LOL.

I saw Soldado at Valencia, doesn't mean much. Our players should get game time based on their performances here, not at previous clubs. Not knocking him at all, just don't see how he goes ahead of Dele and Son based on one appearance against Rochdale.
I’m not saying he should start ahead of them straight away as he needs to ‘earn’ his spot just like everyone else but what I am saying is that right now he is a better quality player than both son and dele.

Him and Lamela give us real game changers off the bench, and genuine rotation options in the attacking positions. Saying either should start is a bit premature, especially as Dele’s form has been much improved of late and Son has been one of our most important players this season

but it’s cetainly a nicer problem to have than the dirth of quality we had on our bench earlier in the season
this could make the difference in those close games in the latter stages of tournaments. Just like fa cup semi last year when we had no good options to bring on and Chelsea brought on hazard and costa at 2-2 and won the game 4-2.

We now have that depth of squad to win things, only missing piece is a better back up striker who can come on and actually be a goal threat and score. Has ole guna solskjaer retired yet? ;)

On Sunday we saw skill, pace and end product. The finish he applied demonstrated what he has in the bag. The point is that having options like Eriksen, Dele, Lamela, Son and now Lucas presents a nightmare for the opposition in terms of who to mark up. Lucas has the skill set to take two opposition players out of the game very quickly.

Moura believes the Turin display is a far better reflection of Tottenham's quality and he is determined to help them win a trophy this season.

He said: “I am 25 years old but I gained a lot of experience with PSG and I think I can help Tottenham. We have a lot of quality and a great structure and I think we can arrive at the end of the season with a trophy.

“The Champions League? Why not? It is the most difficult competition but I think we have the capacity to win it, if we always think positively and work hard. We produced a big game against Juventus away.

“Every player wants to win trophies, to make history, and I am here to make history with my new friends, my new team-mates. I believe that because we have a lot of quality, a great structure – I am really impressed – and I think we can dream with the Champions League.”

The whole point of having such quality options is to rotate our attacking options without suffering in quality. We gonna play 2 games a week most weeks. Previous seasons we have had to "choose" what competitions to focus on due to our the weakness of our overall squad depth.

Another fixture against rochdale would previously have been a small disaster. Now, however, its simply a chance for Victor, Aurier, Winks, Lucas etch to shine and I love it.

Was a good full debut but I am not gonna get carried away. I remember Jose Dominguez, Mido and Staphane Dalmat having blinding debuts against PL teams and we all know how they turned out.

He has incredible balance. Although I wouldn't overdo the comparison - he reminds me a little of George Best in that sense.

Let's not jump the gun on Moura. He stood out because the rest of our team were so terrible but Rochdale are hardly the standard we should be measuring him by .

Let's give him a chance to settle in and see how he performs at a higher level before we rush to judge whether positively or negatively.

Can understand why Poch wants him. His attitudes on the pitch and off the pitch are really, really good. Very professional and passionate. A family man as well. I think no PSG fans really dislike him as well. Could be a real fan favourite.

Was Mido’s debut the home one where he scored (two?) and came close to an overhead kick as well?

I went to that match. It's not an exaggeration to say it's probably the best debut I've ever seen. He was like a man possessed. Just a shame about his subsequent performances :D, though he had his moments.

One was a thumping header. I could not believe how hard he headed that ball into the net. Given his FM fame along with the excellent 2 goal debut I thought we'd signed a superstar, who bang in 30 a season.

Anyway, Lucas is saying all the right things and looked very good on the ball. Exciting times.
