Son is not match sharp? He was one of the worst against Rochdale. Personally, I don't think its as much what side we sent out but more the attitude shown. Wycombe, Newport, Rochdale. How many bad days at the office does it take before one is allowed to say Pochettino should have them at it from the off by now regardless of who he picks?

You can add West Ham in the Carabao Cup to that list, and possibly even AFC Wimbledon at Wembley in the FA Cup (although eventually we ran out comfortable winners).

There are also all those 1st half performances in the league, over the last couple of seasons, where we've looked flat. We then step it up in the 2nd half.

To be fair, it may be a strategy of Poch's and/or squad management. He might think that there's only a certain amount of mental energy a player can expend per season, before he starts to get de-motivated and mentally fatigued. With that in mind, he might be really focused on the important parts of the season (Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Juventus) and in other games tell the lads to just "run around a bit".

Didn't Brian Clough used to treat the European Cup as a bit of a holiday for his Forest squad, as he was so focused on the league?

Or perhaps I'm talking nonsense :)

PS Will an extra game be beneficial for Toby, Victor, Winks and Moura as they're trying to get their match fitness back up to 100%?

Now that City are out I think we have to seriously see ourselves as favourites this year.

No excuses in the replay, we need Kane and Eriksen in the starting XI.

Don't agree that we're favourites. If we play as we can, we can beat Man Utd. It's Chelsea that bother me. They always find a way to urinate on our chips.

We haven’t won it in 30 years. Man.u and Chelsea are favourites, we are a close 3rd.
On paper we possibly have the best first xi and squad out of the three clubs and on our day are probably the best team so by that logic we’d be favourites with familiarity at Wembley a small advantage also. But we still have two tough games to get through before we even possibly play one of the big 2 left.

Per Skybet:
Manchester Utd 9/4
Tottenham 5/2
Chelsea 7/2
Leicester 9/1

I imagine these reflect that we could actually lose to Rochdale, so we will probably be joint favourites if we beat Rochdale to advance.

The last thing we want to be is favourites!!

Indeed. Newport were unlucky not to score first in the replay at Wembley. Might have been a different game had they gone ahead.

And we were only about 8 minutes away from losing the first game............

It makes sense that if we do win the FA Cup this year, we would've done it the hardest way. Gotta love Spurs.

We are def not faves as we aren't even through yet.

Also no way Kane or Eriksen start the return leg.

If we cant beat Rochdale at Wembley without those 2, we dont deserve to stay in the cup.

West Brom this week is a massive match with Man U playing Chelscum and City playing Le Arse

I WANT this trophy.
The '91 final is the first football match I can remember watching. It's amazing to think that we were the record winners at that point but then Arsenal have won it more times in just the 27 years since.
