Having moura dele eriksen son lamela malcom into 3 and even possibly 2 will be too much though unless Poch plays 4-1-4-1
Eriksen can play in CM next to a holding mid. In games against lower teams we should be playing him there with 4 in front of him

Funny that people are mentioning Arp as an ideal signing. It’s like they have a mind blank about what has happened the last two times we have bought a specialist striker back up to Kane

#thfc Academy forward, Reo Griffiths who has scored 21 goals this season including 3 vs Arsenal on Saturday is a transfer target for Paul Mitchell’s, RB Leipzig. The forwards contract is set to expire on 30 June and there’s been rumours he’s set to leave Hotspur Way. https://t.co/nsysJnHBRS

Why not griffiths instead of llorente?

Just been watching the highlights from preseason of Alphonso Davies, from the Vancouver Whitecaps. The kid is 17 years old, born Nov 2000, and already has 6 caps and 3 goals for Canada.

The boy is great on the ball and is absolutely electrifying with his pace. I know it’s not a massive standard of competition, just been very impressed by him, anyone else watched this kid?

If Poch thinks he is up to it, he could start against Rochdale (with Kane as insurance on the bench).

Saying that, i do trust Poch, and Llorente is a proven player for many years.

My wish list would be to keep this squad together baring one or two fringe players we need to move on, as for who replaces them, young, hungry talents that buy into Poch’s philosophy.

There's a quote from Ed Balls (Norwich Chairman) today to the effect that they will have a 30m deficit if not promoted. Guess that's partly why Maddison is still there. Wonder if they will get anywhere near that for him in the Summer? Is he good enough for us, and/or sufficiently better than what we already have in reserve/youth?

Mind you, Ed Balls and that. Still recall one of my favourite quotes from him: "We have come to the edge of the abyss, and now it's time for a bold step forward."
I live in Norwich and know numerous Carrer Rud regulars most of whom, independently, described Maddison as "a poor man's Eriksen" when we were linked with him in January. He would be an ideal backup imo and would get plenty of game time.

" Arp has modelled his game on Tottenham Hotspur and England striker Harry Kane; they have similar frames (allowing for the difference in age) and characteristics. "He plays the way I want to play," the German told UEFA.com.

Like Kane, Arp is a true No. 9 who leads the line, utilises great movement in the penalty area and scores a variety of different goals. During the tournament he's netted headers, scrappy follow-ups, 20-yard drilled efforts and everything in between. Two hat-tricks—one against Bosnia and Herzegovina, one against Ireland—showcased how he can single-handedly put games beyond opponents' reaches.

A big-bodied guy, he's combative and fights to wrest control of the ball off markers. He also works hard to apply pressure to opponents, forcing errors or shanked clearances. Once he has the ball, it's difficult to get it off him; he's a back-to-goal striker who can put his body between you and the ball. Team-mates feel safe playing it into him—even in tight spaces against deep-set defences—as they feel confident he can create from that position or at least deliver it back.

The way he moves the ball out of his feet quickly in order to use it seriously impresses; the Kane comparison is a good one for many reasons, but this is the prime one. Technically sound, his touch is good under pressure; he rarely gets the ball stuck under his feet. Shifting it out quickly, he's often able to make room for a shot or a clever pass into a runner's path. He even looks like Kane in the way he shapes for a long-range shot: He's knocked two in from outside the box during the competition, one of which kissed the post on its way.

An alert, heads-up player, Arp's first-time passes and clever flicks can make the difference—particularly against those who opt to reduce space between the lines and defend deep. Many big strikers suffer from tunnel vision, rendering them capable only of playing the way they face, but Arp's aware of what's going on around him at all times"

What Does He Offer?

Arp is a big, lanky forward and suits the No.9 position perfectly. At 6ft 2in, he cannot be bullied easily and can lead the line without any qualms. Being only 17, Arp has a sharp eye for goal backed up by a cool and composed finish.

At such a tender age, Arp already looks a cut above most of his peers around Europe. He is a typical poacher in the game and demonstrated the fact in the European U-17 championship earlier this year.

The striker can score different types of goals- with his right foot, left-foot as well as with the head. He’s a very skilful player and uses his intelligence to get into good positions to score. Well developed physically, the teenager has a very mature reading of the game which often fuels his sharp decision-making on the field.

In the modern era of football where kids look up to Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, Arp’s role model is Tottenham’s Harry Kane since he plays in a similar way. In terms of his own game, the German feels he has a lot of qualities to be a fantastic striker but he needs to improve certain areas, most notably his left-foot. Someone very mature for his young age, Arp is destined for bigger things.

Tottenham target £50m move for Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha

Tottenham Hotspur are planning a fresh move for Wilfried Zaha and are confident of beating Chelsea to his signature this summer.

The north London club failed with their efforts to sign the winger twice last season but are hopeful that Crystal Palace will sell him, even if they avoid relegation from the Premier League.

Signing the 25-year-old would be seen as a statement of intent from Tottenham that the cost of the club’s new stadium — which could be £750 million and is scheduled to open next season — will not affect their spending in the transfer market.

Chelsea want to add attacking players and Manchester City also made a tentative inquiry for Zaha last month.

Last season was Zaha’s best campaign since he returned to the south London club from Manchester United in 2014, scoring seven league goals as Palace avoided relegation. He signed a five-year deal worth around £100,000 per week in May. Spurs made offers of up to £21 million in the summer of 2016 when Steve Parish, the Crystal Palace chairman, called a bid of £12 million “ridiculous”. He could cost more than £50 million.

Zaha hopes to return from a knee problem in one month after being injured in the 1-1 draw with Newcastle United two weeks ago. He missed two months at the start of the season as Palace have struggled for goals. Luka Milivojevic is their top scorer, with seven, but six have been penalties. Christian Benteke, their frontline striker, has scored two league goals.
