I don't want Sol to get AIDs, I don't want to be gifted a toy Arsenal fan so I can kick his head in, I'm pretty sure Liverpool fans with their recent Salah chants don't actually want to convert to Islam. These chants may be objectionable but they're not meant literally by 99% of the people singing them.

And Nicola Berti is no longer aged around thirty.

I never want to hear his name mentioned in the new stadium, but realistically, I'll give it about 15 minutes.

I agree. Now tell me more about how you're still offended by a man changing jobs twenty years ago.

Just because you think someone is a **** doesn’t mean you’re offended by them, I don’t think any spurs fans are losing sleep over him.

Being offended is crying on behalf of someone else like a whiny little baby because they said a naughty word or because they don’t subscribe to your world view then running to a safe space to winge about it with other people who believe the same things you do whilst simultaneously trying to destroy that persons life who you disagree with.

You know, Twitter basically.

I don't know what's happening to Spurs fans, I really don't.

You've got so called Spurs fans in the general football thread openly hoping Arsenal beat City in the cup final on Sunday and now the Be Nice to Sol Society are announcing themselves onto the SC stage. It beggars belief. Lentils have a lot to answer for :D

I learnt many years ago that there is a dignity in simply walking away from a situation and not giving someone the satisfaction of reacting. Not only does it show a maturity far above their childish levels but also illustrates your vast superiority as a fellow human being over them. Not a question of being 'nice to Sol' more one of treating him with the utter disdain and contempt he deserves....if you feel better singing a nasty song about him then so be it but don't attempt to persuade anybody that it genuinely irks and upsets Sol Campbell to hear his name still being mentioned by Spurs fans after 17 long, long, long years.
Walks away.....

You've no idea what irks him and what doesn't. So I think I'll do what the fuck I like thank you very much. You might take your own advice, for someone who doesn't want to give the guy the time of day you sure flap your gums about him a lot.

Walks away for what? The fourth or fifth time?

Someone needs Mrs A&C to open up & let someone play with their butt plug again methinks :cautious:

And Nicola Berti is no longer aged around thirty.

And yet, having aged remarkably well, when he walks down the street all the people he meets do actually still ask him "Hey gorgeous! What's your name?"

The lad's still got it.

My biggest embarrassment as a Spurs fan was when we lost to relegated Portsmouth in the FA Cup semi :(
I can’t believe you reminded me of that, at the final whistle my phone got inundated with texts and calls from a couple of Pompey fans I knew

"Be Nice to Sol.." What?

I don't have a problem with the Sol judas song, nor do I with the Arsenal fan on a string song, they don't bother me too much. Singing about having a party when Sol Campbell dies is in my opinion (And alot of others clearly) Too far, ironically the people the stand up for this song say "Singing homophobic or racist chants AREN'T okay though" What?!?! Homophobic and racist chants are a big no no, but wishing someone dead is fair game. Fuck me, the logic there is brilliant.

And anyone saying "chill out its just football banter hahaha" You can do one too. Football banter is making funny songs up about john Terry banging someones wife or Rooney shagging someones gran.. Singing about having a party about someone dying is just fucking classless.

Lets all be honest, had this been Chelsea, Arsenal or West Ham fans singing this song to a ex player, you'd ALL be on your high horse about how classless their fans are. This is the problem with football fans, they love to point and ridicule other fans for shit like this but when it's our own club there's somehow still fans that defend it.

Remember when fans hissed at us? Disgusting right? Yet we sing a song about having a party when Sol Campbell dies. Jesus.

Nice rant. Dunno why you’re quoting me, I’ve not once condoned any sort of song that goes too far or suggested anything like that is acceptable, in fact, the vast majority of posters using this thread have all said as much. My comment was aimed at those who don't want to see Campbell talked about at all and NOT what you think it was. We're actually in agreement.

So get back on your high horse yourself :D

Count yourself lucky that you’re too young to remember Port Vale, Bradford or Notts County then.
Will never forget Port Vale. Horrible day. We were searched like terrorists on the way in. I had a pen undone and the inside checked. After the match there was police in front of us while Port Vale fans behind them taunted us and threw things at us. Then of course, there was the match itself!
