The pitch is the same size as ours.

Must be the camera angle or something then, because there's no way on earth i'd have guessed that pitch at the weekend was the same size as Wembley. I'm looking at a clip from the match now and it looks half the size :D

Ah well, my opinion still stands! It'll... I dunno, feel bigger? Or smaller? Or I dunno anymore?

It will be mix and match imo not straight forward 2 teams. Hopefully put Rochdale to bed early and rest a few at 60 mins. In a lot of positions we can now rotate pretty seamlessly. But we really need to get players like Toby rose wanyama winks moura up to speed.

I'm starting to think we should start griffiths against rochdale. Llorente just hasn't looked interested and if we are going to get rid in the summer we could see how the kid could do.

I must say that when I started typing my original post I thought that there was only two days between the games. Then having posted it I saw that there were three days between them. I do think some players will play at least a part of both games but how long has it been since we could put out two good side without using any player twice and without using the academy?

That said I don't want to change the original idea and the different permutations are really interesting. :):)

I have never seen Griffiths play but it may be worth it, if Poch thinks he is up to it.

We can always have Harry on the bench as backup.

To me, Llorente has looked so poor at times I struggle to see how someone else who may even be just considered good enough to feature for us could do much worse. I think I'd just appreciate someone who would chase, run, hassle and keep busy over Llorente, even if they're not scoring.

I think Poch will go with Llorente though and the game will be very telling. If he can't perform in the slightest bit at home to Rochdale then I don't hold any hope. Not that I hold much currently.

No risk to playing Griffiths at all if the alternative is playing Llorente. Personally i'd play Son, Lamela and Lucas with Griffiths and Kane on the bench depending on which way the game goes.

I am in no way an expert, i'd be interested in what @WindyCOYS @Bus-Conductor @IGSpur @Blake Griffin etc... think.
Too soon?

The other guys on that list are far more knowledgeable on the U18's downwards than I am and have all seen much more of Griffiths than I have. The few glimpses I've had he looks like a real handful of a player to me and seems to have the happy knack of scoring goals. But whether he's ready for a start in the cup, I haven't seen enough to say. Either way, I can't see it happening for a nano second, when Sterling gets given 5 minutes in a game that has absolutely nothing riding on it and we are already winning comfortably.

Llorente is on big wages, they aint gonna chuck a kid on if Kane's not playing, it just isn't gonna happen so forget about it

No and if we was it should be Sterling. He’s next in line for a chance in the youth set up and is having a good season and deserves it before Griffiths

As i said i'm no expert just heard that griffiths might have more potential and has been banging in goals.

Be amazed if he gives any kid a starting place for his debut. Just not the way Poch does things at all.
