That’s the last time I watch a Utd game. Every time I’ve tuned in, and I do mean every time, the post match commentary has been the same, “poor game,” “dour,” “they did a job” being a sample of the comments that are used every time they play.

Absolute Godawful excuse for a Football team.

I wonder what's going on in Alexis Sanchez's head? Regretting the decision to go there? A player a expressive as him surely can't be enjoying football under Mourinho.

I think Mourinho's problem now is that there are so many teams who try to win in a stylish way, and whilst that doesn't necessarily translate to success I think that there is enough money in the game for players to reject United simply because they want to play for a manager who will let them express themselves on the pitch. I actually think Mourinho is trying to be more expressive with his play or at least tried but once his defence start leaking poor goals he craps himself and reverts back to type. Which is why they looked so impressive earlier in the season.

When the shit hits the fan, Mourinho will always go defensive and suck the life out of games.

That commentary was weird. How can you give united any credit after that shit show. Sevilla look pretty average, but much much better than united. If they had a cutting edge or maybe a bit of luck they could have scored 2 or 3.

Also 0-0 away from home isn't great.

Under Fergie, I had a grudging respect for them. They won playing entertaining football. None of their current outfield players would get in their 1999 treble winning side.

They did in the 90's. I thought that after Fergie reversed his retirement they became quite a boring team to watch and won most of the time because of tactical intelligence and a sheer will to win matches.

I agree with the sentiment though.

Didn't realise that Pogba is 25 next month, thought he was younger for some reason. If he doesn't start to really take his game on in the next couple of years and mature it could all pass him by.

I'm not sure why pundits are talking about United as if they're basically through

Score draw at home and they're out? They're not exactly playing great the last few months

Well to be fair Sevilla look like they could play for a week and not score.

The way Scott McTominay moves and passes, and his physique in general, is remarkably reminiscent of Darren Fletcher.

My other thought on the game is that Pogba and Lukaku between them cost 20% of a billion Euros.

Prob because Utd set out for a 0-0 draw and that’s what they got. It’s something Mourinho is very good at.

I wouldn’t want him to ever manage us but my god he can suck the life out of a game and make sure he gets the 0-0

Fully agree. Like them or loathe them, they went for the jugular more often than not. You knew you’d get a proper game of Football out of them.

This lot?

500k a week says not.
Probably not. But he wanted out of Arsenal mostly because they are a bunch of losers and he seemed to be more driven to win. He supposedly turned down big salary offers to stay too.

Think Utd will probably have enough to get the job done at home second leg, but Sevilla wont mind 0-0 and not conceding an away goal.

They (Utd fans) cant be happy watching that sort of football most weeks though.

They will just throw another 100k a week to get them
