Best that I’ve actually seen.

Gazza, best player in the world at the time. Never been an English player as good since.
Bale, always anticipating something special when he got on the ball.
Kane, took me ages to be convinced but the stats don’t lie, he’s up there with the best

This thread may just be worthy of a break from my Spurs related voyeurism with my bi-annual post!

Best:

Hoddle
- such style and nonchalance and was a member of the blossoming team of 1978 onward which are the reason I support Spurs.

Gazza - Dazzling skill and top buffoonery but ultimately a tragic character. Been lucky enough to meet him on several occasions. Last seen in the queue in T Mobile in my home town trying to blag his way to the front on the premise of 'Do you know who I am Pet...?!!'

Bale - Was a force of nature in his last season with us who went through defenders like a hot knife through butter.

Favourite:

Benoit Assou Ekotto - A real character and top barnet. Shame it went a bit tits up and then a bit murky with that salute nonsense.

Dele - Someone's got to love him - the little gobshite! He's having a difficult season currently, but that goal against Palace.

Kane - I remember one of his first games for us against Man U when he sliced the ball into touch and then proceeded to flob on himself - an inauspicious start! The winning header on his first game against the Woolwich is probably my favourite goal and never fails to send tingles down my spine. All round good egg - can't believe he plays for us.

Wow...no hoddle?

No Hoddle is further down my list. Really good player but not dominant especially in big games. Ossie was the key player who allowed Hoddle to do his stuff. Contentious I know but as someone who loves flair payers above all for me Hoddle was never in the very top bracket as a player. The three I have picked were dominant players

For Spurs Greaves, Cliff Jones and Hoddle

If you want to widen the search to best players seen, then Greaves, George Best and Peter Osgood

Tramezanni, Nethercott and Dean Austin. 3 players who gave you hope you could be a professional footballer

Gazza . Simply wonderful, top 3 players in the world at his pomp

Sheringham. Berbatov, Gudjohnsen and a touch of Bergkamp rolled into one. Very underrated and such a clever footballer

Toby. I've never appreciated defenders but he is a rock and there is a reason almost every club he joins has the best defence. Anticipation, aggression, focus and boy he can play too

Good thread, easy to guess the age of a poster by his picks. I just missed the 60s lot and from then we've had some amazing players but my favourite by a country mile is Ledley King. He epitomised everything Spurs should be about.

Probably the popular choices by me but
Hoddle
Gazza
Bale
But they say you never forget your 1st love so Peter Taylor
He had this trick were he would dummy the ball and run around the defender the ball often went through the defenders legs leaving him on his arse. Well I think he did anyway he might of only done it once but it left an impression on me.

Kane, Modric and Bale are the best players I've seen in my lifetime, a real shame we never got to see them play together.

Honourable mention for Rafa and Ledley. Both Spurs heroes who understood what the club was all about.
