This is it, people say we should stop hating on him as the best thing to do is ignore him as that’s what will get to him the most, but I think that’s bollocks. The guys ego is through the roof and I bet it winds him up no end that he still hears us singing “ I wanna know why you’re such a ****.

In that regard he’s like Trump, I don’t think his brain can compute anything negative that is said about him. One of the greatest minds in football. Unbelievable.

Gerrard and butt faced off against each other as utd played liverpool in the uefa youth league quater finals. They like most managers before them are starting by coaching kids then maybe work with the manager in the first team or become head coach at a smaller team.

Campbell just wants to skip all that and go straight in as head coach and learn it as he goes. If he doesn't get the job he blames it on racism.

http://www.oxfordmail.co.uk/sport/16040258.Sol_Campbell_reveals_Oxford_United_rejection/

Campbell, 43, said: "I did go (for the job) and they didn't accept me. Maybe it was a lack of experience things like that blah blah blah, but it's a full circle. Experience? How do I get experience when I need a job to get experience?

"I don't want to go too low that it's a struggle and I don't want to go too low that I'm under someone and thinking 'what am I doing here?'

"I would rather be managing a club myself. I'm confident and it's not like it's rocket science to run a football club especially when you get to that level.

"If you're intelligent enough and a quick learner you will learn pretty soon within two or three games what the team needs training wise to survive in that league, to get better, to get in the play-offs or even win the league.

"I'm intelligent enough, it's not like I played on a fox and dog pitch all my life.

"I can't believe some people, I'm one of the greatest minds in football and I'm wasted because of a lack of experience or maybe he talks his mind too much."

:rolleyes::rolleyes::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Instead, they are said to be appointing Craig Bellamy.
My Oxford fan mate isn't thrilled about the prospect of Bellamy either but at least he's done/doing badges, is currently working at Cardiff and has gained some experience in the set up there.

Campbell being a cocky knob isn't news any more.

You're comparing a delusional dickhead, with a man who built a global financial empire and is head of a political one... Trump truly does laugh off any negatives, as they simply bounce off him. The ego is substantiated by reality.
With Sol... well... no point ending that really...

I was talking about their respective egos.

Anyway not the thread for it. My bad for making the comparison

I love seeing this thread bumped as it means he’s said something new that’s stupid or dilusional. He’s consistent, I’ll give him that!

"......go to Germany, they love people who speak their minds. They got the jobs....".

Seeing as how he knows so much about Germany, I assume he's familiar with the word 'schadenfreude'?

Pretty sure he’d try to sign Schadenfreude to boss his midfield. Pair him up with former Villa players Gareth Barry and Luke Moore. He’d love them.

While that’s his normal ‘go-to’ excuse I’ve not seen any cries of racism this time around just an arrogant assumption that he doesn’t need experience as he will understand all the ins and outs of management after just 3 games :wideyed: :banghead:

He isn't one of the greatest minds in football. He is one of the greatest minds full stop and he's obviously chosen Oxford so that he can complete his thesis and realise his political ambitions. When the university rejects him, it will be because he is black.

It's inconceivable that Campbell couldn't get a job in management, just maybe not in the top 2 tiers, and maybe not at every club in tier 3. But I'd say some tier 3 clubs, many tier 4 clubs, and almost all in the National League would give him a shot.

If he's bellyaching about not being able to get a job - and he's been doing it for fucking years now - it's almost certainly because he doesn't want to get his hands dirty, or lacks the humility to start at the bottom.
