As a former midfielder, whenever I analyse players in my old position I think about why I would and wouldn't like to play against them.

He's been our hidden gem for a while now, but it’s there for all to see now, ever since he dominated Pogba in the Manu game, the folks who hadn't really studied us, well now it's clear just who is at the heart beat of our game.

What's good about this is, if he’s fit, other teams can’t really stop him, Dembele is so strong he will not be pushed off the ball, and he won’t be out skilled either.

The man's a genius for real, I could watch him play forever. He jinks past opponents with a drop of the shoulder like they weren’t even there.

Brilliant

This is exactly what I think a lot of Dembele's critics don't get. They go on about how he doesn't play incisive passes (which he does) and always passes sideways (which he doesn't). What he does miles better than just about anybody is he draws would-be tacklers to him and then shrugs them off, thus creating time and space for others or room for himself to drive into. He very rarely loses possession and is happy to receive the ball under all sorts of pressure that others wouldn't cope with. Brilliant player.

I interested to know who would people want more, if you're forced to choose between Dembele or Modric?
