Really strange one but if we are looking for another striker, would not mind at all looking at maybe timo werner and if there’s no luck there I would be cheeky with Everton for lookman

Have to say whenever I watch sessegnon I’m always slightly underwhelmed. I know he scored but was a tap in literally only thing he did the whole half. Must have watched him 10-15 times and always feel the same. Doesn’t seem to have blistering pace rarely see him beat a man. Don’t think he’s anywhere near Sancho or Hudson odoi imo. Yes I know he’s 17 but people are talking £40m I just don’t see it. However the one thing he definitely has is great anticipation around the box and eye for goal. May well end up a striker.

Nowhere near Hudson Odoi with his 9 minutes of senior football. Fucking hell.

Ones at Chelsea ones at Fulham slight difference. Sessegnon wouldn’t be anywhere near at chelsea.

And Hudson Odoi is nowhere near holding down a place in the Chelsea first team, Sessegnon is the one who is gaining match experience here by actually playing whether or not Hudson Odoi is more flashier or not.

Look sessegnon obviously already has more experience and is probably more solid than sancho Hudson or even Edwards. But for me he doesn’t have that xfactor. He doesn’t get me out my seat. He clearly has great potential and will have a great career but as said he leaves me feeling a bit underwhelmed considering all the hype.

Replace Sessegnon with Kane and replace Sancho and Hudson Odi (seriously?) with any two of the other top 6's strikers and you've basically gone full Merson...

Have absolutely no idea what you are talking about? When did I ever mention Kane in relation to sessegnon?

Tbh tonight was the worst I’ve ever seen sessegnon play. Lost every single take on and pass completions must have been about 50%. Obviously 17 and will have games like this but I’m yet to be convinced. The bale comparisons at 17 are ridiculous he is nowhere near.

Bale was also hit or miss at 17 too. So I’m not sure what your point is.

I'm with @coys200 in what he's saying, that he has shown great anticipation and athleticism, but I have not seen him magnetize passages of play with quality/skill/pace/intelligence, if that is what he means, like we've all seen from Edwards, Foden, Sancho.

For £50M odd, take away the nationality HG aspect, he's massively behind Malcom IMO.

Don't get me wrong, being a young english lad, under Poch, I'm still 100% in, but would seriously be happy to bid an equal amount on Sancho (not saying here we should bid £50m but, offer Dortmund serious wedge).

Agree. He can probably cover LB in an emergency but he's pretty much a forward player now. I'd prefer him to Zaha as an attacking option, even if they are similarly priced. I think his brain/decision/composure making is better than Zaha's - and certainly better than Zaha's was at his age. I think his potential ceiling is better than Zaha's.

A majority of his games this season have been at LB

honest question, what are the people who thought we shoukd have broke the bank for Laccazette thinking now? I was under the belief that he could play wide but he seems to be just a no 9. is it just bad management by the sausages down the road? he certainly dosnt seem like he'd be happy on the sides of a front 3?

just to add, im aware hes bereffed of confidence at the mo and seems like a good striker going through a tough patch. Just not sure how he would have fitted in at ours

What's Edwards done?

Nothing at senior level, yet. But in the youths (same with all three I mentioned), just the dribblng angles, short passes, clear vision of how play will unfold elevated to that of others, kind of shit.

Really ? I thought Fulham bought a LB for the purpose of Sessegnon playing further forward more ? I confess, I haven't watched much of Fulham at all, just regular highlight round ups most weeks and the odd glance at whoscored. Whoscored have him as LB 19 and forward/AM 14.

From watching him, I think he's better as an attacker than a defender. 11 goals and 2 assists in those 14 games from forward areas.
