Annoyingly I can’t see Liverpool missing out. We need Salah to get injured.
Trully baffling to me that we are now so deep into the season and teams continually answer the how to defend Mo Salah question by putting a slow seasoned defender on him.

Are they missing Coutinho yet? A few argued with me they were nothing without him and Vvd wouldnt solve their defensive problems. They seem fine to me.

Yeah I bet you're happy mr Rawk. They WILL miss Coutinho and VvD is still overrated.

I’ve thought for quite a while that Liverpool will finish second, and I can’t see them messing it up given their remaining fixtures.

Do think we’ll finish 3rd, however.

I honestly believe we can beat them to 2nd. Their only advantage would be not competing in the FA Cup. They have potent goal scoring options in that front 3.

We must just do what we've done over the last 2 seasons in our final games and we will be okay. There isnt any trophy for finishing above that lot but it brings pure satisfaction when we have done so.

So obviously need a win for us against Palace.

Then what is our preferred result in the Man U/Chelscum game? I am leaning towards a draw but a Man U win won't hurt.

Not minding Liverpool winning as much now as I feel they will get top 4. Salah in particular just seems to be given them the edge in games that they would maybe normally drop points in.

Chelsea and United are the ones who look like could easily drop out. United in particular have been where they've been for way too long without ever really playing well so I'm glad that's looking to catch up on them. Plus they have backstage issues, their most expensive signing can't get into the starting 11 and Sanchez's inclusion has rocked the boat a bit rather than propelling it. It just doesn't seem the happiest of places to be at the moment for whatever reason.

Do West Ham have any other type of defender?

@ajspurs ^^^^^

Agree rating given for your 2nd paragraph.

As for the first...Never want Liverpool to win.

You think I do? :D Don't get me wrong, I want them to lose as much as the next person :ROFLMAO: I'm just trying to point out that I personally believe they'll make the top 4 so I'm not as annoyed when they do win. It's United and Chelsea that I'm mostly looking at now in the hope that they'll drop points.

I think so, it obviously doesn't appear like it to the casual observer but games at home to teams like West Ham aren't where they would need him, it's games like our match where they are unable to create a single scoring chance as a team in the second half.
Fortunately Salah saved their bacon but he won't always be able to do that and they still couldn't get the win. I'd never have argued they are nothing without him and he wasn't as good as they always said he was but it will count eventually.

Don't really care who joins us in the top four.
The Managers above us are all horrible
in their uniquely different ways.
Would be especially funny if Mourinho loses out
because of his tactics and attitude.
The others are odd but more acceptable..

If we win a chelsea win would be good. If we dont win its best if united win

I said at the time we would miss Eriksen more than they would miss Coutinho if the roles were reversed. They have fantastic attacking options and it has mitigated his loss. They winning games now and drew blanks with him in their team too. So whilst i see you reasoning on games like ours. I don't think they will feel his loss to the extent that it derailed their season.

Anyhow gonna piss off some nice people praising this particular rival so let me stop there.

I like the idea if Macolm (Sp) coming in and having Moura/Son/Lamela et al in the mix too. We will be able to compete if we invest wisely in the squad, they wont overtake us though. They will compete no doubt but wont go ahead.

With West Brom losing yesterday we can no long mathematically finish bottom of the league.

Need another 6 points to avoid relegation

Come on ManU and Chelsea. 18 mins more and the perfect result for us. Looking at the next 3 matches we could really consolidate top 4
