It wouldn't matter how fit welbeck got he doesn't have a strikers instinct. I said it when we were in fir him before he went to the scum. He will never be more than a 1 in 3 or 4 game player at best. Being a striker can obviously be broken down into different areas eg pace, strength in the air etc, but the instinct to be in the right place at the right time and the composure to actually score cannot be taught. You have it or you don't. Welbeck just don't!

Don't need to argue the point. Even welbecks mum has a poster of kane on her bedroom wall.

Agree. Little kids finish their vegetables more consistently that he finishes chances.

Our very inept, penny pinching transfer window dealings will come back to haunt us and I see nothing other than a comfortable Spurs win,3-1.

I’m still in shock that we didn’t sign anyone with quality and experience. Without wilf we won’t get another point I’m afraid, it’s about time some of the other players step up and relying on wilf.

They have 4 games in 10 days across 3 competitions. Lets hope they try and play a little conservative.

There is no getting away from it they will pummel us. A 3-1 loss is what I expect. What effect the result has on the end of season outcome is anyone’s guess , but I have faith in our players and Roy that the end game will be positive. COYP

I think since we've had 2 weeks prep time and they've got a lot of matches played and to play will swing the pendulum in our favour. I'd say a Chelsea type performance gives us a great chance of a win. Perhaps 2-1 or 1-0. Need to press them and attack boldly. Would be really foolish of them to throw this match if the players do.

The fact they are match sharp whilst we haven't played for an age gives them a mrked advantage on top of all of their other advantages.
If we don't start well it could be all over after 45 minutes sadly.
I still stick with my 0-3 to Spurs.
Just pray I am very wrong!

My heart has Palace as 2-1 but my head has a spurs win at 3-1 ....They always seem to get the rub of the green and will probably get all the decisions and a dodgy penalty against the run of play .....

What's Roy got up his sleeve?
He's had time to assess the new signings in this break and it wouldn't surprise me to see a different approach against Spurs.
If we don't have Wilf, the shape should really change. If it does we could do it...3-1?
If we remain Eagles with a broken wing we won't...0-4.

I thought 0-0, possibly 0-1 with a dodgy pen.
With Sakho out, 0-3 sadly.
So unfair. Without the decimation and "experimental" start we would be about 7/8th and flying...

Over the moon with a point but realistically think we will lose by the odd goal or two, 1-2 for me. Hoping for an unexpected win against them, Pool or Man Ure, likeliest being the latter but they could be firing better when we play them. COYP !!

With Delaney in the centre of defence (and Zaha and Cabaye out) I can only see this being a solid win for Spurs. I'm hoping they don't score early and embarrass us.

i predict a tough day at the office.
Forget about the scoreline, i just hope our 11 eagles walk off the pitch intact.
considering the way Spurs play, that is a big ask.

i agree pal it is all about the 11 who roy selects who he thinks can do the job and hopefully can get a big 3points but yes it will be a tough 90mins

We are going to get thumped!

It just needs to keep doing the simple things right and hope that Spurs eventually become frustrated and just like City and Chelsea we can do it. Will we?
I would settle for a defeat by less than 3 but BELIEVE we can grab a point unless of course Mr Friend plays a blinder for them.

I'm always wary when opposing fans are so defeatest. Hopefully we show 100% focus and commitment. So many games isn't that much of a problem with us being able to rotate the squad.

Look at the references to dodgy penalties and referees playing for us! It's getting ridiculous. We have had three penalties recently, and each one has been dissected with myopic detail and analysis has shown each of them to be correctly rewarded. But whinging Scousers, who are incapable of accepting the truth about their team, refusing to accept this seems to have convinced a whole host of other club's supporters that we benefit from dodgy officiating decisions. It is ridiculous.

They're crystal palace fans not liverpool.

Even funnier when you realise Palace have had more than double the amount of penalties we've had this season.

I know.

They are Palace fans who make several references to dodgy penalties and referees playing for us. I believe whinging Scousers refusing to accept that the two penalties awarded against them were legitimate (even when demonstrated by their own ex players), have influenced a lot of other clubs' fans, like the Palace ones here, into believing that we get a lot of incorrect penalties in our favour and the referees play for us.

Even though the Palace fans are negative I think Roy will put out a side capable of stifling us. We will need to be 100% on our game.

I read somewhere that the Palace keeper for tomorrow is only 20 and is 5' 11'' tall and has never started a League game.you know what that means,he's going to have a worldie.

No. If that's true, play 442 and have Kane and Llorente bullying him the entire match. We may end up with a record win.

It’s like we’ve crossed the Scientologists or something.. except the Scousers are more nutty
