With about 8 minutes to go, you could see Kane really upping the ante for us, taking throw ins rather than wait, cajoling our players out of complacency. He's priceless. With some of the misses and miscues, it never looked like we'd catch a break in that game.

We're in a run of 3-4 games now where rivals play each other and we can take advantage. That three points was massive. Next week it's City vs Chelsea, the week after it's United and Liverpool, the following week United & Chelsea don't play. In a run against Palace, Huddersfield, Bournemouth & Newcastle we have an opportunity to gain on rivals each week. Let's hope the next three matches are a bit less nervy with a bit more luck

Nope not having that. I agree that too often we focus on our performance and not the opposition's, but this was an odds and sods Palace side, that wouldn't get out of the Championship. If we played with the correct tempo and application early on, we should have eviscerated them,
Perhaps, you may wish to consider that they didn't allow us to play well. Our final passes did let us down and that is needed when trying to break down these teams.

Really don't understand what people were expecting from today's game

We came up against a Palace side, coached by Roy Hodgeson, who had 15 days between games in which to prepare and practice parking the bus, which they largely did to good effect.

We continued to chip away though and in the end got the goal that our dominance deserved. Yes we missed some good chances, but that happens to all teams, that's football.

I think it was the amount of unforced errors that made this different from other games against bus parkers, that wasn't down to palace.

It was a very sloppy performance irrespective of how the opposition set up IMO.

Not a single mention of the penalty we should have had in the BBC report just coverage of Alli again.
He didn't even appeal for it. Obviously he should have just booted Hennessey in the face but then it would be "showing his nasty side". He literally can't win

Big big result today well done boys looks like the top four race is going to go down to the last 2,3 games.Kane as usual scores but I really think we neec to start seeing maybe Son and moura chipping in with the goals.

Lost count of the times Davies and Aurier get in good positions only to screw up the final ball. Hodgson got his tactics spot on by allowing us space out wide and blocking the middle.

We need a paid of full backs that can deliver a ball. Trippier is the nearest thing we have but lacks pace.

Sessengon would be ideal.

Really disappointed with Aurier. Hoped he’d bring pace + a final ball. If he had that final ball the brain farts would be easier to take. So far his crossing has been rubbish and way too many brain farts. He needs to sort his shit out.

Bit harsh on Davies. He's played some quality balls in this season.

5 assists in 22 prem appearances, and of course chances created to factor in on top.

Lads stepped in and is doing all that is asked of him. Off form today, maybe. But on the whole it's a big fat...good on yer son from me. (y)

Possession doesnt win matches, goals do. I have seen us concede much less possession and play and win much better. A very simplistic view to voice.
The comment was that we'd put in a shite performance. That level of possession is not indicative of a shite performance, win or otherwise.
