Yup.

Another from the Grauniad;

"When Chelsea became a successful club, I had to listen to some of them droning on (or so I thought) about how much they disliked Liverpool fans. I could never work it out. “Why Liverpool? Surely you hate us (Spurs), West Ham,Arsenal, Man Utd etc?” The response was unanimous, “yeah but you wait until you’re one of their rivals. You will never see a more hypocritical, entitled bunch” Of course I dismissed what he said. Why wouldn’t I bearing in mind the history between Spurs fans and Chelsea fans? But now I totally get it. Every game we play, we are deluged with comments from Liverpool fans - we’re cheats, we’re divers, we were lucky, our opponents are in the worst form they’ve ever been in. The list goes on.

So thank you Liverpool fans. In all my years of watching Spurs (nearly 50), we’ve played second fiddle to the great Liverpool sides. It’s so gratifying to realise that you genuinely fear us now. Enjoy your Sunday."

I work with a Chelsea fan who is very level headed and you can easily have a decent chat about football with him. He knows I hate Chelsea but he has nothing against tottenham, and the team he hates more than anyone is Liverpool, basically for the exact reasons you stated above.

I never hated Liverpool until I became an adult and really found out how much the media love them and how their fans are utter deluded, self entitled pricks, who always have a victim mentality. Funny how they never say anything about Heysal.

Agree. Through childhood I knew several Liverpool fans and all were pretty decent and level-headed (no actual scousers) but at University I started seeing real deluded RAWK-ists, studied with a couple of people like that, and the social media droning and the bitterness and the hypocrisy and it all just put me right off the whole club.

Liverpool fans are the Donald Trump of football supporters.

One of their players racially abuses a black footballer, do the club condemn him?

Nooooo, actually:

Funnily enough, the player who was racially abused visited Anfield again after years away. Did one of their ex-players do something sensible and stop the fans from abusing him?

Noooooo,

Actually:

But the Liverpool fans are sensible enough to ignore that and just watch the football right?

Nooooooo,

Actually, they booed him all game and chanted “Luis Suarez” every time the poor player touched the ball.

But no, Spurs are scum because we won two legitimate penalties that they deluded themselves into believing were dives because they are Liverpool and they only lose when the FA conspire against them.

Let’s just ignore the fact that, amongst their ranks, they have Sadio Mane, who is the most shameless diver of them all.

I don’t like the context thatsome people use this phrase in but it’s true. Liverpool really are always the victims because it is NEVER their fault.

I don't believe the Liverpool teams of old were that special, it was just that the rest of us were shit during this period

Also one of the most annoying men in Britain.
He used to wind me up but he actually comes across as very sensible and informative on Brexit compared to most of the media just recycling the same crap over and over.
