Yup.

Another from the Grauniad;

"When Chelsea became a successful club, I had to listen to some of them droning on (or so I thought) about how much they disliked Liverpool fans. I could never work it out. “Why Liverpool? Surely you hate us (Spurs), West Ham,Arsenal, Man Utd etc?” The response was unanimous, “yeah but you wait until you’re one of their rivals. You will never see a more hypocritical, entitled bunch” Of course I dismissed what he said. Why wouldn’t I bearing in mind the history between Spurs fans and Chelsea fans? But now I totally get it. Every game we play, we are deluged with comments from Liverpool fans - we’re cheats, we’re divers, we were lucky, our opponents are in the worst form they’ve ever been in. The list goes on.

So thank you Liverpool fans. In all my years of watching Spurs (nearly 50), we’ve played second fiddle to the great Liverpool sides. It’s so gratifying to realise that you genuinely fear us now. Enjoy your Sunday."

And in response:

'There is a cosmic unity in the Kop. It's a spiritual connection beyond petty rivalry. Yes really and klopp gets that. Of course there are fans who just pick a colour and they are easily spotted but thanks largely to Shankly LFC remains a club built on human relations and passion.'

Liverpool fans weren't always like this. Back when the club was winning everything in the 70's and early 80's, they were actually ok. That's part of the reason Liverpool had such a good reputation as a club for so long. The boot room, Paisley, Fagan, Ronnie Moran - all of their achievements were essentially triumphs of modesty. Down-to-earth football men just getting on with their job, and in the process slaying all of Europe. It really was remarkable what they did, and people admired them for it, and how they went about it.

But I guess 30 years without achievement takes its toll. With nothing to be modest about, Liverpool fans suffer from something akin to a phantom limb - the gnawing sense that something should be there but isn't, and constantly feeling an itch you can't scratch.

And so, over the years that modesty morphed into something else. A bitter form of itself. First denial, then fear. Fear that their club's successes may one day be matched by someone else, and that Liverpool will revert to being an ordinary provincial club in a backwater town. St. Etienne on the Mersey.

That's why they're such twats. It's existential fear. Worse, existential fear that's not wholly irrational.

30 years without achievements? Funny, I remember them winning a CL back in 2005 and reaching another final in 2007.

They are just twats, plain and simple.

From Rawk in the thread on PL matches over the weekend. Post after post of the obvious…”diving, cheating, jammy c—ts, small time club etc.,..” Then we arrive at an exchange between two posters that reflects some sanity, and acceptance of the reality of the situation. Yep, we’re a threat that won’t be going away, and they really don’t like it.

- Spurs will finish top 4

- I agree. Their heads just don't seem to drop. They play to Kanes strengths and when you have a finisher like that in the team there's always a chance of getting something.

I'm sure they were quickly banned

Just had a quick scoot through RAWK's Spurs thread.

I'd retrospectively like the result of our game with them corrected

That'll be corrected to a draw then will it mate? Because if Kane doesn't get the first penalty, Liverpool don't lift themselves for 2 minutes to go and score. And it probably ends 1-1. Or Spurs actually go and score a winner because there was only one team in it in the 2nd half. Tit.

Pretty good sign when Rawk hates us even more than United.

I know its football but this whole Liverpool thing is getting really silly.

The fact is we are challenging for prized positions on far less resources and with a better structure than most. We ain't far off having our own dynasty...

Are they claiming Davies dived? Even though he was clearly taken out?
I have to agree though, he clearly took a dive.

Sorry, just need to remove these.
