Both Son and the encroaching Rochdale players broke the letter of the law, so how does that result in the decision that was made

There are three situations on a PK where the restart is an indirect free kick to the opponents, no matter what the result of the PK was or if any other infringements occurred. They are an illegal feint (what Son did), the PK being kicked backwards, or someone besides the identified kicker taking the kick.

It's a tough one. I really hope these guys are just fucking hopeless. But what hope is there if two officials this awful can get jobs in a game like this?

Well if they really are this hopeless mate then every single official needs reassessing in this country because if that is the standard it’s no wonder so many complain about them.

However, I just find it very suspicious, that first decision especially, nobody would have thought that was a foul and who is making this decision more importantly?

Never thought watching this Spurs side would feel like such a chore. Between commentators, VAR, the ref and ‘Si-SOCK-O’ I can’t deal.
