KWPR deserved a rating based on the strength he showed in the corner, all while he was pretending to be Rose.
I loved the way he ran into the corner stole Danny Rose's judges wig and started fending off attackers like a boss.
Goal was ok too.
He's MotM. (or Lamela or Moura are maybe more deserving )

Some good performances but have to give MOTM to Llorente who was his ususal, at Spurs, ineffective self in the first half but took his goals well to make sure we won easily. I really hope that turns his form around as he could be like a new signing

As one of the 12 brave spurs fans who went to the game in awful conditions I have a few comments to make (Actually over 20,000 fans turned up which is very good turn out given how terrible the conditions were on a work day. But the size of Wembley made it seem like a lot less!)

Firstly VAR was a disaster. It wasnt just that the decisions were wrong. The Son penalty would normally just be a retake (the fient was in the run-up thus legal but players had infringed before the ball was struck), but the Son penalty could have well been given as the original free kick rater then make us wait 3 minutes in the cold. The first goal looked fine to me, and given that Llorente was clearly pulled in the box after, it seems a little poorly applicated.

Refs make mistakes that's fine. But you normally know what they think happens. Because it is indicated at the time of the incident. In VAR you just wait and nothing is really explained to you. T

he reasons for VAR seem fabricated to me. Its just media outrages over some poor refereeing decisions and its made to seem like a big issue. Other sports use technology, sure, but football isn't other sports and VAR was very detrimental to the enjoyment tonight. I want to be able to celebrate goals widely and freely. If it was used just for extremely obvious breaches maybe.. but this is a bad format at the moment. Football isn't broken. There is nothing that has to be 'fixed' maybe a few tweaks here and there but this is a far too extreme change. But it doesn't affect TV viewers badly so it will probably be implemented because fuck the people who bother to turn up!

Anyway the match ratings..that was a harder first half but I blame the errors on the players being a bit confused by the VAR shenagenes. Still that is not a professional reaction. Rochedale have some half decent players it's a disgrace that the team cant get it up in the league. Second half was easy. A training game really. I was on the other end so most of the play was a bit of a blur in the second half. But still a better view than the TV. The snow was not that bad and the ball remained perfectly visible at the ground.

Vorm, (7): Came out very well once. Passing was largely good. Not really at fault for the goal a very decent performance

Trippier, (7): Won the pen, defended decently, and saw a lot of the ball, decent crosses in the second half. No complaints.

Froyth (6): A strong six. He doesn't really convince me. Doesn't have the strength and they had much better luck down his and trippers side then rose/diers. But he was very good on the ball. Passed it v.well. He is young and I have no doubts that in 3 or 4 years time he would be a great player. The opposite of Sanches really. They could make an excellent partnership when Toby and Jan hang their boots.

Dier (8): I thought he was a real leader on the pitch today. Normally the deepest of our defenders sweeping anything up when we were camped in their half. His body language was excellent. Always gesturing and making sure people were in the right position. Made a craking legly interception. This was not the hardest attacking unit mind.

Rose (6): Still very much seems like he is playing within himself. No longer the same pace and made a few poor choices. That said it wasnt a bad game. Far from it. But he is capable of so much more!

Son (9): Should not have given the referee a decision to make on the pen but otherwise our most dangerous player. Run well, found lots of pace, was a general nuisance. Got a decent brace too!

Sissoko (5): Maybe im being harsh but he isnt cut out at our level. Gave the ball away often. Showed some of his attributes and skills when the game was won but I think he should move elsewhere. No hard feelings effort and application is not his problem.

Winks (3): He has not played in a while but that was a pretty awful performance. Constantly gave the ball away. Maybe a little nervous and again given a more defensive role then he is comfortable in. He is not match fit. Completely lack sharpness and his confidence is low. Im sure we will see him back to his best soon. But today was not a good day.

Lamela (9): Only person who pressed in the first half. Battling and aggressive. Some lovely flicks. He completely deserved a goal.

Moura (7):
So very good in tight areas but he needs to learn to keep his head up. Struggles to find that pass after doing the hard bit. He will get there though when he is more familiar with the movements of his team mates. Promising signing. Very hard working.

Llorente (8): Poor first half. Just really static and didnt press at all. Wanted him subbed at half time. Clearly Poch played him my harsh comments at half time. He looked a different player after the goal. Little flicks and tricks. Just looked to be enjoying the game. Not seen him like that in a spurs shirt before. Oh and he got a hattrick.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dembele (7): Came on and lead the training session.

Dele (6):
Lovelly little dribble and probably should have had a goal.

Walker-Peters (7):
Congrats on your goal! Not sure he will ever be a first choice player for that but my god he has the time to prove me wrong. Today he did himself no harm.

With a player like Walker Kyle-Rose-Peters already here, do we really need Sessegnon?

KWP is a right back and Sessegnon is best played as a left winger / attacker so completely different players.

KWP can obviously fill in at left back but would much prefer he is used at right back.

Gave it to Coco, easily the best player on the pitch. Was seeing things the others didn't see and plays wonderfully in that AM role. Notice how he is always near the scorer as a back up as well and times his runs so well.

Llorente had a good game second half and had a few delivered on a plate. Good to see him execute. Son was lively and dangerous.

Nice back up after the first half where the VAR upset our rhythm to an extent. Poch obviously put a rocket up their bums at half time.

Cant wait to see BC creaming himself over KWP. Should be a good read (I haven't checked to see if he posted) :D

Longer version.

There was something in the air that night, The pitch was white, Fernando.
Scored a hattrick there for you and me,
At Wemberley, Fernando.
Though we couldn’t even feel our toes,
there’s no regrets.
If I had to do it all again,
I would my friend, Fernando.

True story - if they had gone to pens tonight - it would have been ABBA

...Llorente jumped higher on the celebrations than he did for crosses - so slow and immobile, only of use against 3rd tier teams in a driving bombogenesis snowstorm...
...Winks sucks...

The negative assessments of Foyth's game -- some here, but mostly elsewhere on the intertubes -- have caught me offguard. Feel like I need to watch the game again because I thought he played well. I don't pretend to the grandmaster of football ratings (I presume that's beece), but am I really that oblivious?

Feeling wracked by self-doubt.

He had a good outing on the whole. Still a kid and lacking game time - he did pretty well. He's shown real promise every time i've seen him. Great on the ball and with his distribution. His strength, defensive awareness and positioning will all improve under Poch. Great signing and think we'll see more of him in key games this season if Toby's out for an extended time.

Opted for Llorente as my MOTM. Pressure has obviously been mounting on him through his lack of goals.

Might have been considered cannon fodder by some, maybe, but what's he supposed to do?. Called out for not scoring, fair enough, but called out for scoring against inferior opponents. Nah...A perfect hat-trick is all good in my book, and hopefully the catalyst to see him start to bang in a few more when called upon.

You manage to be negative after a 6-1 win, you must really hate this team
