And the all important lure of Champions League is slipping away again meaning if they get big signings it’s pkayers coming for the money. That’s not going to sit too well unless they play out of their skin. Currently they are not. The rot has set in. Arsenal need major surgery yet the patient is in denial.

Love it. Just fucking love it.

When you also consider their so called 3 best players Ozil mkhi Aubameyang are all around 29 as well.

The context is that even in this dark period they have still been significantly more successful than us and most others clubs. This whinging is ridiculous, Newcastle, Sunderland, West Ham fans can whinge.

Just because Arsenal used to be even more successful...why should that persist? They've even been more successful than United over the past 4 years, they have won more trophies and qualified for the CL more times and that's despite spending significantly less money.

So they have to put up with being a bit crap.

You have an incredible detachment from reality.

They’ve panic bought, not addressing their obvious issues. Stop gap signings. You expect this from mid table clubs rolling the dice. It’s just compounded their decline. Do we have someone on their board? Come in Agent Kroenke, excellent work.

Just where we were in the 90's and early 000's until Levy decided to play the long game and built up from the bottom - not saying we are on the cusp of a golden era as you are now competing against clubs who are backed by countries, but history will judge him well and the infrastructure he is putting in place will be his lasting legacy.

I could say the same about your good self. Your statements are also incredibly arrogant and without foundations.

Arsenal have won trophies consistently even over their supposedly poor period. We would kill to win just one FA cup.

Wenger's trophy haul at Arsenal compares well with that of Spurs over our entire history and we are one of the more successful clubs in the country historically.

Apart from the (assisted) year of the Invincibles I'm unable to think of one thing Arsenal have done that we haven't already achieved ?

Win the premier league...

Win a title in the past 55 years.

Win the double in the PL era

Get to a CL final

But other than that....

Versus.

Won the first double in the 20th century when it meant something.
Won the first European Trophy by a British Club -ditto-
Didn't lose a CL final but lost a UEFA final over two legs in 1974 yethad already won 2 European Trophies and won a further
UEFA final in 1984.

I was merely answering the question.

It would mean a great deal to me and I suspect all of us if we won a double.

Over and above tribal hatred of Arsenal I find Wenger a decent and dignified person who I respect .The match last night was between a team at the top of there form and a team in a lull. The reaction or analysing of Gerrard and Neville was way way way over the top and the statement that Arsenal should come out now and say they are replacing Wenger in the summer is a disgrace. How can any sane club allow there club to be told how to be run by a couple of ex players who never had the gumption to manage a club although neville did briefly with a disastrous outcome .I say this match was quite even and one team took there chances the other didn't and so lay of Wenger because if every team that was beaten badly by City had to dump there manager there would be chaos.Having said that I am enjoying being a cut above Arsenal and long may it continue.

Arsenal have no class.

The Bank of England club from its inception and during its many name changes has constantly courted controversy.

Whether it be 'alleged' bribery to move into the the First Division and then allegations of dodgy player wages and payments throughout their history. Offshore became the new brown envelope.

Their myopic manager who is now in his dotage was never able to see the decisions where Arsenal benefitted, whether it be a decision in their favour or one that hampered the opposition.

After that Champions League defeat where Lehman was sent off he actually came out and said players should not be sent off in a showpiece final. FIgure that !

Followed by lack of sportsmanship on numerous occasions, the (was it?) West Brom game which they eventually agreed to be replayed as they didn't give the ball back to the opposition as was the trend and decided to score a goal instead.

Then there was the scene with Henry and Perez (?) conspiring to take a penalty kick together by passing it instead of shooting (it failed miserably by the way). There was practically an assault on Van Nistleroy one one occasion when he missed a penalty.

Then there is the catalogue of rapists, handbag snatchers, drunk drivers* (including one resulting in manslaughter) drug and gambling addicts, a convicted porn dealer and gold coin bandit who all played in the Arsenal colours.

*I know Fenwick was guilty of this too.

And to top all that when are they going to get the Arsenal tube station renamed ?

I could go on but I wouldn't want anybody thinking I didn't like Arsenal.

If I could be bothered, I'd dig up a few of their tweets from when we lost 2-0 and they jumped above us in the league. The volume of fans shitting the bed about how "Spurs will forever be in their shadow" etc was vast. Be interesting to see if they've since been deleted.

As much as Wenger has to take the blame for a lot of this I don't think Stan Kroenkes influence can be ignored, the guy is poison he took a successful team in the NHL, consistent contenders to a team which struggles to qualify for the play offs.

These records go back to 1996 when the avalanche came to be (having previously been based in Quebec and known as the Nordiques).

(Tried to give analogous terms so more relatable rather than just conference finals etc.)
1996 winners (conference final and Stanley cup) - Finished 2nd in league
1997 Lost in semi (conference final) - 1st in league
1998 Lost in playoffs (conference quarter final) - 2nd in league
1999 Lost in semi (conference final) - 2nd in league
2000 lost in semi (conference final) - 3rd in league
2001 winners (conference final and Stanley cup) - Stans first year (not really his team) - 1st in league
2002 lost in semi (conference final) - 2nd in league
2003 lost in playoffs (conference quarter final) - 3rd in league
2004 lost in quarter final (conference semi) - 4th in league
2005 no season due to effectively a union dispute
2006 Lost quarter final - 7th in league
2007 did not qualify - 9th in league
2008 lost quarterfinal - 6th in league
2009 DNQ (did not qualify) - 15th in league
2010 lost in playoffs - 8th in league
2011 DNQ -14th in league
2012 DNQ - 11th in league
2013 DNQ - 15th in league
2014 Lost in play offs 15th - 2nd in league
2015 DNQ - 11th in league
2016 DNQ - 9th in league
2017 DNQ - 14th in league

I admit I don't know exactly what he does at the club to cause this there is definitely a feeling that he is the root cause at Colorado and I am sure some feel the same at Arsenal.
