Great 3 points. Not the easiest or toughest match but I'll take it anyday and hopefully no injuries or tired legs. Definitely seemed a few had their mind on Wednesday's tie.

...can we finally kill off the urban legend that Dier and Dembele stifle our attack?- this combination is critical to our success in Poch's system...
COYS

Because our attack was so scintillating today?

If that urban myth was in any danger of dying (which it isn’t ) that game was a pair of defibrillators cranked up to max inserted up it’s arse and all the way directly onto its heart.

They were so fucking laborious it was painful.

Gutted Harry didn’t get a goal, can see Salah getting a few later and then we will have to hear the scouse twats calling him the greatest striker on the planet etc etc.

Great professional performance from us though.

COYS.
Honestly though nothing would motivate Kane more.

I don't get why we just don't step on it and thrash them. Games like this Man City win 4-0

Dele should have gone off for Lamela earlier and I would rather see Wanyama getting minutes than the hopeless case of Sissoko.

No goals for Kane is only negative for me today, I fear Salah's going to leapfrog him tonight.

Comfortable win that really should have been even more comfortable.

Kane led the line well, but I think the pikeys have cursed his boots, couldn’t shoot for toffee today, but a sublime assist.

I thought Lamela was really poor when he came on, wasted possession, dallying on the ball and should have opened his Prem account had he got the ball out from under his feet.
All about the points though and, barring the odd lapse in concentration, we never really looked troubled at all.

All in all a decent day’s work.

Well done to the lads. We continue to win which is all that matters. Every time we chalk up another victory it puts pressure on Liverpool, Utd and Chelsea to do the same. With City strolling to the title 2nd and 3rd place are big prizes this year!

Let’s hope City destroy Chelsea tomorrow and Utd slip up against Palace on Monday!

Oh and come on the toons, beat those scousers!!

Nice, played the 2nd half in 2nd gear, just what you want when you have a massive game in the CL in the week, it was like a training session at times.

Great 3 points, damn boring game if I'm honest though .

Hope Newcastle do something in a bit but I doubt it
