This is honestly an easy decision to make. Same lineup as today, but with Trippier instead of Aurier. Hugo, Jan, Sanchez, Davies, Trippier, Dier, Dembele, Eriksen, Son, Dele and Kane.

Lloris

Trippier
Sanchez
Vertonghen
Davies

Dier
Dembele

Lamela
Dele
Eriksen

Kane

Subs: Vorm, Rose, Foyth, Wanyama, Moura, Son, Llorente

That will be the team.

Would be harsh to drop son after his 2 goals today

Is there anyone else who fancies Trippier against costa and isn't concerned at all?

I'm finding the level of apparent confidence quite odd, I must say.

Doesn't really matter though, Aurier can't play so it's irrelevant if anyone would rather he did.

The only position up for debate is Lamela or Son, and there's valid arguments for both of them.

I feel like it’s an easy decision to pick Son. He just banged in two and Juventus needs at least a goal to get through. I don’t see Son staying with us for long if he isn’t playing in the big games.

Just to add that i think davies should get the nod but i put rose in because i feel like poch is going to play him. He will use this game to get the fire back in his heart. We all know he has that level in him but has'nt reached it since returning.

Maybe, but Pochettino plans ahead, that's the team he'll go for I reckon

I tend to agree - but then Son is in shit hot form at Wembley this year.

All depends on how we decide to go about the game really.

Try and keep it tight v blow them out the water basically.

We've shown we're capable of both. Intrigued.

Yeah agree mate, it's an interesting one. We might go for the throat from the off, in that case Son could start, but Lamela offers a threat and puts in a proper shift off the ball.

Has he ever even played at RB before in his career?
He's played right of a CB 3 for us...just a bit further over innit. :D

It's obviously a sacrifice, to a degree, where his job would be to neutralise Costa, primarily.

I'd have no concerns with him carrying the ball forward every now and then as he's got good passing and good recovery.

It's the kind of thing Maureen would do in a game like this, with Aurier suspended.

One of the things I like about him.

He's got Ashley Young at LB. :wideyed:

If you guys baulk at some of my team selections, you would have all jumped out of windows by now if he'd had been our manager. :D

9 of the starting 11 is obvious, only choice is either Dier or Wanyama and Son or Lamela. Personally I'd go with same team that started away game with Trippier in obviously. Son after today deserves to start but Lamela did such an important job in first leg. Also, bigger picture is that we have a big game next weekend in league, we have to keep winning as Top 4 is so important. Son saved for that game, fresher could be the right call. If the team is tired after Juve he could theoretically carry us in that game to a win.

He started all three of the Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal games recently, and both Dortmund matches. It's not like he's benched every time we have a big game.

Knowing Juventus have to score does potentially swing it Son's way, but I doubt they're going to go gung-ho, they'll most likely be patient and cautious to begin with.
