Appalling tactics and attitude from Chelsea. Glad they lost obviously but the players don't want to play for Conte.

At this point you have to consider the possibility that the Chelsea "stars'" attention will turn to the world cup, they really have to start putting in some big performances, hard work and commitment but weighed against that they'll want to avoid injury, just the sort of thing to lower their effectiveness.
It may be more relevant if you are a star in whom the likes of Real Madrid have an interest and so may not even be there next season abyway, much like the manager of course.

Bit of both in this debate. City are an absolute nightmare to play against, and they're just getting better. Chelsea were a shambles today. Definitely missed Kante; Fabregas was a ghost. But, still, don't think any team lives with City when they're on their game, domestically or otherwise. It's just pulling out all the desperate stops to make sure they don't get too comfortable.

am I correct to say...

If city wins the next 3 EPL matches including the man Utd Derby....

When we host them we will have to do a guard of honour for them since they are the champions? Hopefully they will go all out for the CL quarter final on 10/11 Apr and send out a weaken side against us...

Man Utd in turn must keep winning... One defeat and they will need to do a guard of honour for city. At least it isn't at OT. Utd have West Ham and Swansea next... So most likely it won't happen.

Yes, unless Liverpool win all their matches between now and then including away to United.

So.... All eyes on the Man Utd and Liverpool match...

Then hopefully we will see the papers with managers urging city to put out a full strength side against us at Wembley.

Do yourself a favour, switch off and stare at a rock for the next half an hour, it'll be more exciting.

Regarding Neville, when a team like Brighton or Bournemouth do that, fair enough. Chelsea are the defending champions and have a squad that also cost hundreds of millions of pounds. For them to play like that with absolutely zero ambition is just embarrassing. They don't get a bonus point for only losing 1-0.

But Neville was also shrieking about it when Newcastle did it.

Neville isn't criticising them for being pragmatic, he's criticising them for being fucking lifeless, there's a massive difference.

Chelsea pulled off a very good performance and result a couple of seasons ago at City, which was pragmatic and very discplined but they broke with speed and played with a far higher intensity than they did today.

That was pretty pathetic in all honesty, City never out of first gear either.

You have to be pragmatic in a game like this, but you've got to show more desire than that.

Not that I'm complaining, great result for us, but Neville was right.

ManC were absolutely nothing like the ManC now two seasons ago. The only two PL sides to go there and not sit deep we’re us and Liverpool and both got absolutely hammered, and City weren’t even great against us.

Chelsea don’t have an obligation to entertain Gary Neville, and they limited City to virtually nothing, and were still in with a chance of getting something out of the hat game until the final whistle, unlike us - who Neville also called shit that day by the way.

Conte didn’t intend for Chelsea to not threaten on the counter at all, he was going mad when they wasted the ball on the odd counter, but that’s what City can do to you, they make getting out and constructing anything extremely difficult, it’s the part of their game that many ignore, the press, harry and commit technical fouls and then if you escape that you’re lucky if you’re not isolated.

Chelsea are good enough to do better on the counter but you have to put in all your effort to not letting City construct. Neville kept whining about Chelsea not charging about, but that’s the stupid way to play City. charging out and pressing by them they play quick triangles and they’re behind your first line, and then your second line and scoring.

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

Anyone applauding city on this title needs there heads checked. They spent 300 million this season, were prepared to pay 65 million for a backup to Sane who was out for 3 weeks when being 15 points clear at the top.

What fucks me off more however is in the last two seasons it seems we lost out on the title by a couple of flukes

Best I go get my head checked then :D They are playing some amazing football, yes, they've spent a lot of money but that's no guarantee of anything. If you can't enjoy watching that then you need to get your head tested. Fuck the sour grapes. :D

Proper sour grapes. Yes money blah blah.. buying titles blah blah.. but that aside, plenty of teams spend a fuckton of cash yet aren't able to play like City. They're playing some of the best football I've ever seen and fully deserve all the plaudits.

The Man United Liverpool game is a win win win option for us. Be it a draw or either team winning, someone will always lose points. A draw is preferable though.

Not sour grapes at all, anything less then playing the way they are playing or completly dominating the league would be a failure for them.

And i said nothing about appreciating their football, do that all you want to but to applaud them winning the league is something else and i dont think anyone should.

Enjoy watching Silva, Sane, De Bruyne play football.

Don't like that their wages are funded by a deeply corrupt and brutal State using English Football as Public Relations Fig-Leaf while they launder Oil Money to pay bribes while engaging in modern day slavery to build latter-day pyramids...

Should be mandatory that the above speech is given to Pep before every Presser with the subsequent question: "How many Filipino workers deaths are acceptable to pay your wage, Pep"
